“Erik's Hotel thinks that it is something that it is not. Much staff training needed.”
We were told that making a reservation to eat was a good idea and agreed on 19:00. As agreed we arrived for diner at 19:00 At 19:30 we walked out of the restaurant because we had not even been given a menu. There was no shortage of staff moving around. When we commented about this as we checked out we were told that we shouldn't have been there when so many other people were also there!!!!!! They accepted the time and then told us off for being there when they said. The word sorry was not used once. When you stay at a quality establishment the staff appear to move effortlessly around and things happen, at Erik's Hotel the staff moved effortlessly around ........

“Quiet village location boutique hotel close to airport and A9, excellent food”
Great location near motorway and airport; quiet village crossroads with free car park opposite and if you don't have a car and don't want to pay for a taxi, there's an hourly bus which takes you to the nearest U-bahn station at Garching Hochbrück (which also has park and ride if you DO have a car but want public transport into Munich). Lovely quiet room with Juliet balcony, comfy bed, good bathroom with excellent shower. Room not huge but adequate. Excellent breakfast included in room rate, with fresh fruit salad, cold and hot buffet, juices etc, cooked in small batches so you're not getting eggs from 7am if you're there at 9... Freshly baked croissants and delicious coffee. Very attentive waiting staff. Think the owner is the chef, and you might want to try dinner there one night, excellent quality Italian menu, rolled out on a wheeled blackboard and translated for you by your waiter or the chef! A little pricey compared to other meals on our travels, but very good. A very pleasant stay, with very helpful reception staff too, who answered any questions in perfect English. Recommended.
