Overview
Surrounded by lush forests and lavender fields, Highland Furano boasts natural hot spring baths. Barbecue facilities can be used from April to October. JR Furano Station is a 15-minute drive away. Each guest room is fitted with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and an attached toilet. Bathrooms, including bath and shower are shared. Furano Highland Hotel’s public bathing area includes an open-air bath looking out to the lavender garden, which is in full bloom from July to early August. A sauna is also available. Luggage storage and ski storage facilities are offered on site. Guests can use free parking. Biei Shiki-no-Oka Park is a 50-minute drive away. On-site restaurant offers Japanese breakfast, as well as international dishes for lunch and dinner.

Traveling for skiing in Furano. Great spot very convinient, only 10 min away from the slopes. Appreciated the good space in the room and also great to take the skiboots in the hallway. Fantastic to take the onsen in the end of the day. We’ll definitely come back.

“Hotel with a traditional service attitude.”
To my surprise, a vegan breakfast set was available on request. Thus a good option for vegans in the area. Announce the evening beforehand. Note, no vegan a la carte dinner options apart from fries and edamame. Could be different for the half-pension rate though - you might inquire if a dinner set menu can be made vegan.

Good onsen, decent breakfast, affordable rooms, and only 10 minutes to the slopes! The staff are very friendly as well!

“A quiet getaway!”
It is located at a quiet and peaceful area, with great onsen, both jacuzzi and outdoor onsen are available. The tatami room was also great, especially if you like the tatami and futon experience.

“Lovely place, large rooms, delicious breakfast!”
The room is large and the beds are comfortable. The onsen is absolutely beautiful. I am vegetarian and the staff were absolutely wonderful in dealing with my dietary restrictions for breakfast. I was severed a delicious tofu fish each morning instead of bacon and eggs! I was so appreciative and they truly went above and beyond. Very happy with the service, the room and the entire stay.

“Great place to warm up and relax in the middle of winter.”
Quiet old onsen hotel. Hasn’t changed in 20 years but a real Hokkaido experience. Traditional breakfast was good.
