“Wonderful Stay With An Exceptional Host”

Rika is an exceptional host. She's friendly, warm, responsive and an excellent cook! We enjoyed breakfasts prepared by her over 2 days. The plating was exquisite and it was the best breakfast I had in Hokkaido! The apartment was spotlessly clean, and spacious enough for us (3 persons). She also graciously waited for us even though we checked in late at night. Will definitely want to stay at Air Furano the next time we're back!

Beautifully appointed comfortable sizeable rooms & bathrooms - lovely property in general. Central heating & Aircon. Totally incredible hospitality including an amazing breakfast. Great location very close to Kitanomine ski field. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.

Big room with comfortable beds, and waking up to the best breakfast. Rika has been so helpful each time we stayed. 2nd time in Furano, and will choose to stay here again if we come back!

It's spacious, clean, close to the gondola and the people are just lovely. I didn't get the breakfast and I regret that decision, it looked tasty.

“Fantastic place to stay in Furano.”

Excellent location - close to the slopes, shops and bus stop. Gareth & Rika provided a lovely homely feel to our stay.

There are only six rooms, accommodating a maximum of 10 guests, which makes the property feel quiet and private. The location is excellent—close to the main road and restaurants, and only a 10-minute walk to the Kitanomine ski zone. The staff and owner are extremely kind and offer warm hospitality, making us feel very welcome. What we liked most was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of choices, and the menu was different every day during our five-night stay for skiing. The food was good quality, delicious, and the portions were generous. Soft drinks were also provided free of charge during the day, which was a nice extra touch.

“Exceptional”

This was a true B&B experience which exceeded all our expectations - hospitality, space & amazing breakfasts. Short walk to the snowlifts however they provide a shuttle in the morning if you wish or you can make use of the locker hire near the lifts to avoid transporting your gear (definitely worth the low cost!!). “sweet, friendly and genuinely heart-warming experience”

This was such a sweet, friendly and genuinely heart-warming experience. They picked me up from the bus, which was a lovely and unexpected surprise, and even organised transport for all guests who wished to attend a New Year’s event in Kami-Furano with fireworks and traditional drums. In the morning, they served a ceremonial breakfast, which felt very special. There is clear care and respect for both the guests and the space itself. Rika is sharing her craft and we had lovely talks about the joy of sewing with textiles from old kimonos. I can wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse.

The owner Rika and Gareth very friendly and helpful the accomodation very close to lifft chair for snow within walking distance to kitamone and all walking distance to nice coffee shop and restaurant .

The owners, Gareth and Rika, are extremely friendly and determined to ensure a great stay. The room is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. We had everything we needed for our overnight stay. The location was great, close to town and everything we needed.

Rika and Gareth were the warmest hosts we have ever encountered. The place was impeccably tidy and clean. The room was just so spacious and comfortable, better than many hotels. And the breakfast.....it was prepared by Rika and just fantastically good! Would have love to spend one more night!
