We really enjoyed our stay here. We loved that it is located outside the city in a village, where you can hear roosters crowing in the morning :) We got a room right next to the terrace and slept very well. The beds are comfortable. The staff were extremely kind — we were truly impressed. Magali helped us with recommendations for hikes. The food was good, especially the ice cream:). We had a very relaxing stay and appreciated that the staff speak English. If we return to Cape Verde, we would definitely love to stay here again. We highly recommend this place.

Cote de France feels like a safe haven amid wilderness. Magali and all her staff members are super sweet and helpful. Very comfy beds.

Great breakfast and delicious dinner (for a very fair extra). The accommodation is located near the Serra Malagueta Natural Park, in a quiet village. There's space for parking your vehicle and the staff is super nice, helpful and attentive. The room was clean and cozy. The terrace has a lovely view over the mountain and on clear days you can see the islands of Maio and Fogo.

Absolutely lovely staff members and the best food we had in 2 weeks of travelling in Cape Verde. Do not hesitate to go for the half board option (EUR12.50pp) which they will message you about before you arrive. The views from the terrace are stunning and the location is perfect; we did a fantastic 17km hike loop in the nearby NP, but there are shorter options too.

“Amazing place with awesome food”
Exceptional homemade dinner and breakfast (dinner was €12 per person). The owner is extremely helpful and spoke several languages including English and French. All her staff were really friendly and helpful. Pleasant outside seating area.

Lovely small hotel with very nice and attentive staff. As a solo traveller it felt very homely hanging out there, courtyard seats/sofas invite interaction among guests (if wanted). Good place from where to explore Serra Malagueta (12 mins by car/public transport) and Assomada (6 mins). When I was there, all guests ate the (good quality) 3 course dinner, cause hotel is not near any other restaurant.

“A lovely place to stay especially if you want to go hiking in the national park.”
This is a lovely place to stay, very close to excellent hiking and with comfortable rooms and a charming roof terrace. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, as well as their set 3 course dinner. The French lady who ran it was charming and very helpful.
