The staff was extremely nice and took care of us. The room and its view were breath taking. They even helped me with my food allergy and made sure I can eat the food they are offering. The room was quiet with some ocean waves splashing into the shore sounds.

Great accommodations with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Staff was amazing and so helpful. The facilities were clean and Peaceful, definitely worth the trip to Fukuyama!

The view was insane with all room facing ocean and the private bath was so good (hot 24 hr), their service was 100000%🕶️🫶🏻❤️ they have hotel free shuttle bus to pick u up from fukuyama station though prior reservation required🙌🏻 the location was so good : close to the famous temple like 3 min

“Great and truly restful Ryokan experience”

Everything was amazing: the transfer from Fukuyama station arrived on time, the room number was beyond expectations, the bath on the balcony (suitable for 1-2 persons), the rentable onsen, the island view, the dinner and especially the breakfast (we tried the European version)... everything was so great, and the staff were really hospitable and helping!

The staff was exceptionally professional and friendly. The room was cozy and offered a beautiful view. The dinner was delicious and beautifully presented and portions were generous. The hotel did not forget the two dishes we added when we booked the hotel. The added dishes of fried sea bream bones and the braised fish head were nicely prepared and were very good value for money. The quality of the dishes was superb. Most enjoyable and relaxing stay. I wish I had time for one more night! Must come back.

When I was booking I was curious about especially high rating but well it truly was amazing they got everything, the room Is well organized, you have one small hot artificial bathtub onsen in room and you can also reserve one for your room number, amenity kit is perfect with great in-room selection of everything you might need, the staff is really helpful and as we arrived a little bit before check-in they helped us organise our time and advise us on what to do in the city and nearby island

Super friendly and attentive staff (especially Hanami, tusind tak 😁), beautiful view of Sensui Island, beautifully decorated room, great private onsen w/view. We also took advantage of the free shuttle from Fukuyama station to the hotel - very convenient.

“Wonderful, restored ryokan with fantastic views.”

What a wonderful place. The ryokan is located in possibly the best spot in Tomonoura, facing the neighboring islands, one of which is lit up at night. This is a 250-year-old ryokan that has been beautifully restored/renovated. It maintains the old world atmosphere but with modern facilities. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The room is moderately large, with comfortable facilities, and an open-air bath that faces the bay. Dinner was superb, with each dish carefully prepared and delicious. There is also a private bath on the top floor you can reserve.
