Lots of space for a family of four, we also booked the house next door for our extended family (of 3) so it was great having individual buildings in close proximity and with identical facilities. Having in house laundry (and space, racks to dry in the bathroom) was very much appreciated. Having tatami mats on both floors made it feel like a traditional Japanese home.

This is a terrific location with easy access to Tenjin and Hakata Old Town.

The location was great, 7-11 and a supermarket just around the corner, quite a few good local dining options very close, and not far to all the action, about 15 minutes to Tenjin, 5 minutes to riverain mall, 15 to canal city, 10 minutes to the port. Local area was fairly quiet at night which was great. The apartment is spacious with everything you need, and has an awesome large bathroom with a large bath.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The high ceilings gave this apartment a great feeling of space. Good kitchen, nice big bedrooms, washing machine, The location is walking distance to the Port and the centre.

The smell of the decoration was very strong when I checked in and the sound insulation was not very good.

The Naraya-machi hotel (1 and 2 are next to each other) is our favourite family hotel in Fukuoka. It is well located: close to Nakasu-Kawabata station and two of the major avenues of the city while being quiet as it is situated in a small street surrounded by buildings. It is perfect if you have a young child since the bedroom is on the first floor while the main room with the television, a big table and the kitchen are on the first floor and since the two areas are separated by a door. The kitchen is well-equipped and spacious. It is perfect for cooking separate dishes. The fridge is big compared to the classical fridge size in Japanese hotels, The bathroom is spacious and modern. The bathtub can be controlled through a panel, and the area with the sink and washing machine is sufficiently spacious.
