“It’s now part of my core memory.”
It was in a rural part of Japan and it was so peaceful. There was a whole bunch of kids from neighbouring houses that came over to play. It was lovely.

The host is very friendly! It's also a unique place to stay if you're going through Fukui and you have a car. I couldn't imagine getting there without a car though.

The owner Mr Iwase is very accommodating and provided us with all the necessary amenities within the inn itself. There are ample parking lots and our breakfast set is very satisfying too.

“unique experience in Japan”
was very unique experience, we were staying alone in the old teahouse, that serves as a restaurant in the morning. The host was wonderfull and the staff was supreme, we even got some mochi for our trip and were able to see how its made! its super clean. of course the rooms are very basic, no furnishing, just the futon beds. we managed to stack couple of them onto each other for more comfortable night sleep. overall very interesting experience.

“Refreshing and a rare, worthwhile experience.”
The location is a little out of town but quiet and peaceful. A short drive to a convenience store and a fabulous local Izakaya the owner was kind enough to introduce us to. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves but even if there had been other guests, there is plenty of room to spread out. It has an old world feel and charm but with all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was excellent. Very traditional. Fukui is where the famous 'Koshi Hikari' rice variety originated from. The owner grows his own rice which was especially delicious. Recommend that 2 futon bases are used for extra comfort. Also cash only.
