“Once in a lifetime experience!”
Really unbelievable experience at this hotel! Hard to summarise everything but: - Magnificent entrance and greeting by the staff to welcome us in - Hotel has two lounges with inclusive drinks, snacks, alcohol etc - All guests have free kimono rental, as well as a full spa outfit and a Japanese dinner jacket in each room - Rooms have a set of pajamas for each guest and are really large sized. Plenty of space for our family of three. Huge couch and window with view of Fuji. Bedsheets were incredibly smooth and pleasant. - Our room had a hot spa on the balcony where you could sit in hot mineral water and look at Mount Fuji - Dinner was a tasting menu with so many different dishes that we lost count. Had some of the best food of our lives there - Breakfast was also huge and a ton of variety - Grounds are breathtaking, huge and very carefully tended and tailored to create a peaceful fusion with nature - Two larger spas on the ground floor and on the rooftop with another clear view of Mount Fuji while you soak - After dinner entertainment included fireflies in the garden, a huge drum show, and bingo Massively recommend this hotel!

This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with half board, but unfortunately it seems completely unprepared to accommodate international guests when it comes to customer service and flexibility. We are a family of four and booked three rooms, two of which were of the same category. Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel and requested that my husband and I be assigned rooms close to each other, or at least on the same floor. We repeated this request again at check-in.Despite the fact that not all guests had arrived at the time of our check-in, the front desk employee, K.Tanaka, and later the manager refused to make any effort to accommodate our request. Instead, our family was scattered across different floors and even different buildings. We explained that we had made this request in advance, that some of our belongings were in the same suitcase, and that constantly moving between floors was inconvenient. However, the staff simply kept repeating the same phrase with polite smiles: “Everything has already been assigned, and we cannot make any changes.” We travel frequently and have never encountered such an inflexible attitude anywhere else. This hotel was supposed to be the relaxing part of our journey through Japan, from Tokyo to Osaka. Instead, the management created unnecessary stress and made us waste valuable vacation time trying to resolve a problem that should have been simple to fix. Considering that check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is as early as 10:00 AM, guests already have limited time to enjoy the property. Unfortunately, our experience was further diminished by the hotel’s unwillingness to show even a minimal level of customer care and flexibility. What made this experience even more disappointing is that this was one of the most expensive hotels we stayed at during our trip across Japan.

A special memorable stay at Kaneyamane. Very satisfied with the experience. The garden is so peaceful. The tea room is also a very nice touch. You can enjoy your complementary matcha tea while enjoying the spectacular view of the garden. I highly recommend it.

“Brilliant stay, would go back.”
The old fashion vibes it maintained. Offering traditional clothing to wear which made things more comfortable. Food was incredible, we ate twice in the Mikuri restaurant and each dish was served with pure class, the expertise the chef have from experience really shows in the food. All delicious The treatment room was brilliant, the Onsen for the men was superb, the outside one I could’ve relaxed in there all day. Staff exceptional, friendly , helpful, polite and welcoming lovely people. Church on the grounds as well which was lovely and of course a great view of Mount Fuji

“Wonderful hotel with especially incredible staff!”
The staff were incredible! I had an issue with my phone due to my completely leaving it on the transportation bus I got up - one woman in particular called the company tracked if down for me & got the schedule for me so I could go back and get it when the driver came back around to loop. She spoke with the driver and organised me a taxi. She was INCREDIBLE. I was then late for dinner due to this and they extended their service to accommodate us even though I said I would skip this as I didn’t want to hold them back, they were so kind and helpful and I could not have been more thankful for everyone’s help. The hotel itself is gorgeous - incredible amenities, so close to Mount Fuji and the scene are amazing, I enjoyed their free wine bar and a private dining experience. I could not give this hotel and especially its female staff members a high enough rating, they did so much to help me and I am so grateful.

“Spectacular stay, beautiful views and delicious food and service.”
Service was excellent as soon as entering the property. The rooms were very spacious and had all amenities in them. We arrived just in time for a dinner booking and was a wonderful experience. We didn’t take advantage of the public baths but the room bath was spectacular with beautiful views of a garden when Fujisan was hidden and beautiful views when the clouds cleared. The hotel offered a shuttle service to train/ bus stations which was helpful.

“Mixed feelings, maybe we were expecting more for the price.”
The facilities: a drums show at the evening, renting nice outfits and an amazing, amazing garden free to explore! The hotel itself is amazing from the inside, maybe the best I have ever seen. You could just walk around and enjoy how great it is. Nice scenery from the inside.

Service is exceed expectation. Dinner set is remarkable, a little bit modernized western dinner, but it's good!. Rooftop onset is the best way to see Fujisan. Wine lounge is good for hangout and Drum show is excellent.

“Amazing staff. Fantastic view of the mountain.”
I don't often spend big on accommodation because it does nothing for me and I could care less for luxury. As long as the place is practical, clean and in a safe neighborhood I am cool. I booked a comfort room here this time because I could not find anything else. Absolutely worth it. The staff is definitely what takes this place from an 8 to a 10. Do not miss the drum performance!
