The cleaness, althought the bathroom was shared everything was sparkling clean. The room was big and the shower was plesant. The host didn’t speak english but she managed to comunicate clearly. The location is perfect if you’re targeting the observatory, otherwise if you are aiming for the lake you’ll have to rake the train and the buses. Not an issue but it depends on your preferences

I had a wonderful stay here, the room was cozy, equipped with everything you might need, a heater, a television, a small table and a confortable futon. Everything was clean and felt at home, the host was very friendly and welcoming, and also helpful if you need anything, she kept my luggage when I arrived early in the morning and kindly lend me a phone charger when I asked. I would have loved to stayed longer and will absolutely come back if I ever visit Fujiyoshida again! Thank you again! :)

An special environment with a lovely staff. A real place, cozy and warm where you can feel the peace in a small town. The hostel is perfect 10/10, near of the mains attractions and just 15 seconds walking to the main street where, if you are lucky, Mt Fuji will wake up you with a really wonderful sunrise. Best place in Fujiyoshida.

Probably is the better option to stay in Fujiyoshida. A cozy, warm and wonderful place to spend the nights. A real japanese house with an special essence. You can walk to one of the main streets in lees 1 minute. We spent nights and Veronica let us to do an early check-in the second day (we came from Mt Fuji). She is a so warm person and helped us with all. You can find some places to eat near and you can reach the bus station in 12 mins walking or less. Good tip: wake up early and go to the main street to see the Mt Fuji sunrise:)

“Amazing place”

If you are considering booking on this hostel, please just go for it. Just to clarify, more than a hostel, this is a traditional Japanese guesthouse run by Mikiko (the owner/hostess) she is just super nice, she speaks good english and made us feel welcome and like at home as soon as we arrived. The room was super cosy, the tatamis were ridiculously comfortable , and although the shower and the toilet are shared with the rest, those were immaculate throughout our stay. Not to mention we got to see the Mount Fuji from our window in the room! The stairs can be a bit tricky to navigate so if you have limited mobility , this is something you should consider. Also theres a fridge you can store your food and free coffee and tea is offered. Deffo, on my two weeks trip to Japan this is the best place I have been. If I ever come back to Fujiyoshida , I will definitely book this place again. I definitely recommend this place :)

The best traditional hotel we've ever stayed in, perhaps the best hotel of any style! If you're lucky enough to book it, do it with your eyes closed. The very kind owner gives you a warm welcome upon arrival. You'll discover a typical Japanese room, equipped with everything you need, including very comfortable futons and clean, cozy sheets. We were lucky enough to have a double room (for a couple). The hotel is also beautifully designed in Japanese style. All the facilities are impeccable. It's quietly tucked away in an back-street for peace and quiet, and just a few minutes walk from a small town center and the train station. You'll be immersed in a typically Japanese atmosphere with a host who takes great care of you. Thank you again for this wonderful experience 😊

Excellent location, the place made you live the real Japanese experience. Our room has view to the mount Fuji and the days we were there, we were lucky to see it. The lady is very nice and sweet and help us to understand everything.

I had a fantastic time. I loved being in a traditional house. The owner is a very nice lady and she speaks a bit of English. It is a walking distance to the bus station. I stayed there the night before my climb and the night after. It was perfect to recuperate after this big effort. I will totally come back.
