Set within 5.3 km of Lake Kawaguchi and 7.6 km of Fuji-Q Highland in Fujikawaguchiko, Retreat Camp Mahoroba offers accommodation with seating area. “Glamping with a view!”
We stayed in a Pao. There is a private toilet and a shower room included. We didn’t expect the facilities were so well equipped with all amenities. It was like a hotel in the nature. The view of Mt Fuji was excellent!

My stay at Retreat Camp Fuji was beautiful. The panoramic view was breathtaking, and the dome felt like a dream—so cozy and peaceful. The staff were very kind, and everything made the experience special. I 100% recommend it!

“A perfect stay with amazing views, couldn’t be better”
This was such a treat. We stayed in the small house accomodation and it was comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend getting the barbecue dinner set- everything was super delicious and came in a basket with everything needed to cook. We had a fire set up and purchased marshmallows from reception it was such a nice night. The grounds were well kept and looked so magical at night with all the fairy lights. A truly memorable stay I can’t say enough just book it! (Bring plenty of supplies the closest shops are far…beer and meat selection available to buy are superb though)

We absolutely love the view, and the service is fantastic too. Thank you for letting us check in the new room early. Seafood grill was amazing too. It was a really unforgettable experience! I love that the house has everything in it, including toilet and shower, as well as all necessary toiletries.

“Perfect even when it rains!”
Despite it raining during our time there, the camp feel made it feel super cosy. We loved the place specially the outdoor area where we made a BBQ whilst watching the rain. If i ever come back to Japan would 100% stay again!

“BOOK THIS HIDDEN GEM!”
I can’t believe it wasn’t fully booked yet when we did. The view on mt Fuji: insane! Everything was clean aswell and the staff thought of every little detail. Don’t be scared to go camping, as it is a very comfortable stay with heaters, clean showers etc. The famous shrine is a 10 mins walk. You can hire e-bikes to ride around the lake. You can ask for a killer breakfast which is so fun to make, do I need to say more? Book it!

“Stunning location and amazing stay”
Incredible stay, amazing view of Mount Fuji and the team were super helpful. They organised pick up and drop off to the station, organised bikes for us to use and prepared a delicious BBQ for us - we also loved the onsite yoga! We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

“Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.”
Our stay here was better than we imagined it to be. We were very lucky to have the most amazing view of Mt Fuji from our retreat house. The amenities were great, beds were very comfy and had every we needed. It is around a 20 minute walk to the nearest convenient store, and around a 10 minute drive to a supermarket but it was very easy to get an uber and got everything we needed for our stay in one trip. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

This place is very special- everything was exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff - location perfect - in the trees, with amazing view of Mt Fuji. Amazing beds, duvets, great heaters, lovely shower block a few strides from the dome. We really enjoyed the seafood bbq. Hammocks to watch sunset and sunrise. We hired bikes from the property and explored. This was an absolute highlight of our trip. We will definitely return. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
