Overview
Located in the Mount Fuji area, Oike Hotel features indoor and outdoor public hot spring baths, and baths that can be rented for private use. It offers free pick-up from Kawaguchiko Train Station with an advance reservation. Mount Fuji or the Misaka Mountains can be seen from the outdoor hot spring bath. Rooms at Hotel Oike are Japanese-style, with traditional futon bedding atop a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Guests can put on a Yukata robe, sip fresh green tea and watch their LCD TV. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Station and a 7-minute drive from the Kawaguchiko Interchange (IC) on the Chuo Expressway. Parking is free. Massages offers chances to unwind. A souvenir shop are also on site. Tea Lounge Peppermint is open from 07:00-21:00 daily.

“The best in Kawaguchiko.”
It is my 3rd time staying in Oike - every time I do search whole booking for new options and come back to this one. It has everything perfect in my opinion: - the rooms are cozy and spacious, - the onsen is great - 4 options! garden, mt fuji view and 2 private ones - the amenities cover everything you need, e.g. there is welcome buffet at the lobby every day with pastry and drinks and there is 24/7 wine vending machine! - and the location is perfect both for strolls and for reaching all the touristic places - the red bus stop is right there!

Free parking across the road. Hotel design was lovely, very zen. Lovely tidbits during the day at the lobby area and free coffee all day. Amazing children's playroom at the lobby area! Hotspring was lovely - they had a private outdoor hotspring, which required an additional fee. The shared hotspring had a baby cot in the ladies room for convenience. The view of mount fuji was breathtaking from the hotspring at the top floor. The tatami room was very spacious - well equipped bathroom and toilet. They also had cute yukata for children in the bedroom. Overall, lovely and comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Fantastic hotel with beautiful onsen facilities, our room overlooked mt fuji with its own private outdoor bath. Loved the local wines in the lounge area and children's facilities.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the beautiful view of Mount Fuji. But that’s hardly the hotel’s achievement—and clear weather isn’t guaranteed anyway.

Amazing views of Fuji from the living area and the private spa. Really good room facilities, everything was really clean and very comfortable bedding. The downstairs rest area was a really nice hub to go and hang out as well after a busy day out.

I liked that there were tatami mats and you could go to the onsen everyday. Over all it was very traditional and in a great location. I would recommend staying there.

The best onsen overlooking Mt Fuji. Also, they offer afternoon / evening tea in the lobby with nice assortment of snacks and drinks. It’s convenient for after the onsen, to relax and hang out. Great location, close to Lake Kawaguchi. Shuttle to / from the train station was very convenient.
