Unfortunately, I cannot recommend and I’m honestly surprised by such high reviews. The place feels generally shady, there are guns hanging in the common area and in general it doesn’t feel cosy. There are many spaces where ceiling is really low so an average guy can’t walk there with normal body position. We had a big apartment which in theory was fine, but we did not have a key to it so we weren’t able to lock the doors when leaving which didn’t feel safe combined with the atmosphere there. Breakfasts are very basic and in 2 out of 3 jars of jem we noticed mold.

This accommodation truly has everything. The owner is one of the most genuine person I’ve ever met—and he has an unusual sense of humor. He’s also very punctual, which is worth keeping in mind. You’ll find complimentary snacks and drinks available, and the breakfast is delicious. Renting a bike here is easy, but note that payment is cash only. Chureito Pagoda isn’t far from here—we reached it in about 30 minutes on a regular bike, since it’s mostly downhill from the accommodation. Of course, the way back is uphill, but the key is getting to the pagoda early; you’ll have plenty of time to cycle back afterward. (Side note: the observatory was already full at 4:40 AM—it was funny how you still have to compete for a good spot even that early!)

It was one of the cheaper places to stay. It was nice to be able to see Mt.Fuji from the same street. Free shuttle for check-in and check-out to the Kawaguchiko bus/train station. The guy who cleans, runs errands and does everything was veeery nice. Supermarket, ATM and some food options within 15min walking distance. Can do laundry, snacks/coffee/water available 24/7

The host gives a very unique vibe and provides a great Japanese-style experience staying here. He provided everything we needed, including free snacks and drinks, which was very thoughtful.

This place was great, my partner and I loved it! The location was great, we had a car and there was parking for us. We had a tour of the place and there’s a lovely garden out the back which I’m sure is beautiful in warmer weather. There’s a dining area which had a fire in which was lovely as we’ve visited at a very very cold time of year. The room had heating and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The layout of the room was great and had everything we needed. Free breakfast every morning was really good, we had bacon and eggs made for us along with a selection of bread (which we could toast and rolls) croissants, soup and tons of free snacks and hot drink options for whenever we wanted. The whole stay was lovely and we’d really recommend! Would stay again :)

“Cosy”

Friendly owner. We got breakfast and transport to the station. Location is a bit further from the centrum (10min from station with uber) but u can rent bikes at the property and get around easy. The rooms were very clean and modern. A bit small sometimes for taller people but still ok. Theres outdoor dining place, drinks and free snacks. Would definitely come again.

It was a good location, still close to everything needed in Fuji but far enough away to not be amongst the excessive amount of tourists also staying there all in the same spot.

Family room is like a small house. Many bath rooms, and deep bathtub. Comfortable beds, massage chair (upper body only). Very friendly on site host, thankyou for sharing your home!

Breakfast was good. The host picked us up from the bus stop and gave us a detailed walk around the place to make us comfortable including showing us the restaurants nearby where we could eat. The rental cycles helped us to go around easily and enjoy the nearby lake.

“Amazing experice overall”

We liked everything. We were well taken care of, the room was great and the overall experience was amazing. The garden is so beautiful, perfect for the morning coffee or the evening drink. The owner is a very nice person and meeting him will always remain a core memory of out trip to Kawaguchiko.

Our stay at this B&B was absolutely wonderful! The room was amazing, very spacious (a family room), beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and very well prepared. There was even an onsen-style hot bath and massage chair, which made the stay extra relaxing. We truly had a great time here and will definitely come back in the future!

Room was really dirty. When we tried to check in there was nobody. We were notified via a message that the host was out but we hadn't noticed this message. So we had to wait until 18.30 to check in. The room was dirty and didn't feel good. The whole place feels shady. Would not recommend anybody to go here. Booked for 2 nights but left after 1

It was a slightly quirky accommodation with fantastic outside spaces. Set in a forest suburb yet within walking distance of good food and shopping.. I highly recommend it, and with bikes etc for hire it would warrent a longer stay than just one night.

Like the fact that there is 24 hours coffe,tea,water,juice,milk, chocolate,peanuts etc facilities free. The garden is excellent,easy to rent a bike & free pickup & drop-off at the station
