The guesthouse is very cozy, and the host is thoughtful and kind. If I go to Fuji again, I’ll choose here to stay for more time.

Very artsy guesthouse with amazing common space and probably the tatami bed on which i had my best sleeps with a view in Mount Fuji. The owner is also extremely kind and even provie free shuttle to Kawaguchi Station.

The owner of the place was the coolest, the whole family is really nice, they took me to the bus station for free. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable

An amazing stay at Honobono! It’s like staying in a family home with a chilled and social vibe. The host was really friendly and attentive. It is comfortable and has many amenities. You can also rent bikes from there. Would definitely recommend!

AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AND MEMORABLE STAY!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED🥰 🗻 When I first saw that the bathroom and toilet were shared, I felt a bit concerned. However, those worries disappeared immediately !! - everything was always available and spotlessly clean. The room itself was also extremely clean😻 In fact, the hotel looks even better in real life than in the photos on Booking😅. It’s a very cozy, traditional Japanese-style room with futons, and you truly feel immersed in authentic Japan. At the same time, everything is very comfortable 😻 the bathroom, showers, and facilities are all clean and function perfectly. There is a very warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the guesthouse. Everyone feels welcoming and respectful toward each other🥰 Downstairs, there is a spacious common area where you can sit, relax, or chat with others. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, which felt far too short, especially since we had a view of Mount Fuji🥰🥰🥰. In the morning, we woke up with the curtains open and saw Fuji right away. It was an absolutely breathtaking experience🥹 Sleeping on futons turned out to be very comfortable. Compared to other hotels, there was actually quite a lot of space in the room. You can tell that the entire guesthouse is made with love 😻🥰 every corner has thoughtful and interesting decor, and it’s enjoyable just to walk around. The location is fantastic: as soon as you step outside, you can see the Mount Fuji. It’s very close to the lake and a beautiful small park. Getting to the other side of the lake takes a bit more effort, but in return you get incredible coziness and quiet surroundings. At night, it was so silent that you could hear the faintest sounds, making it very easy to relax and fall asleep. Stores are quite close! Renting a bicycle is possible (we did, but my hand was hurt after Kyoto😅 so.. we had to walk🥲) The host was exceptionally kind.

A very comfortable house providing everything one needs from a confortable room to a big kitchen very well equiped. The house is very close to the lake which allows one to take a beautiful and recovering promenade. The host is very kind and makes sure you feel home during your stay. I highly recommend it. Additionally, it offers a shuttle service to go to Kawaguchiko station from where you can visit hallmarks of kawaguchiko as the Chureito Pagoda. I highly recommend staying at Honobono :)
