“Private onsen and fantastic multi-course dinner. A fabulous experience!”

It was 5 of us, so 2 rooms one for my parents and a triple for my husband, son and me. We also had the dinner and breakfast experiences included. My parents room was lovely and renovated. My room was spacious but a bit tired - needs a bit of a face lift. Both rooms have beautiful private gardens and onsens! Both were spotless. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic, definitely 5 star Japanese service. They also had traditional clothing if you wanted to change into it. Mum and I did!. Staff were lovely. Ah! and I had a beautiful massage in my room.

We were surprise upgraded to a Presidential suite from a standard twin room and it exceeded all expectations, especially the private onsen, which was well worth it for us. Even despite this the facilities in the main building were beautiful, clean, peaceful and the staff were endlessly helpful and friendly. It was only a short walk down to the lake with amazing views of Fuji - couldn't recommend this place more!

A lovely, quiet, and traditional ryokan in a convenient location, with outstanding hospitality throughout our stay. We were especially touched by the warm welcome upon our arrival and the thoughtful send-off when the staff accompanied us to our car as we departed. Their attentiveness and genuine care made our experience all the more memorable. Highly recommended.

“Lux private onsen <3”

A fantastic getaway with private onsen! It feels very secluded and unique, the onsen in the room is truly a piece or art - not just a basin filled with "spring" water but real stone bath in a small Japanese garden. It is truly a delight, highly recommend!

Exceptional property, private onsen was a real highlight and proximity to Lake Kawaguchiko was fantastic. We wish we had stayed here longer.

Such lovely staff! Also a lot of good restaurants nearby, location is perfect. The private onsen was just a next level experience😍 so was the traditional breakfast.

Amazing service!! On arrival: Staff were waiting at the entrance on our arrival. They also offer shuttle bus for pickup but we opted to drive, and the staff always helped us with getting in and out of the Food: The breakfast everyday was amazing. The self-serve coffee machines were Starbucks branded which didn't matter too much but it was pretty handy when we were staying in for the day. There were tea options as well. The dinner was just as good, but have to book in advance. I had a special request which they accommodated really well. Room: Huge, spacious, comfortable. Has a little view of Fuji-san! Could fit a whole family and some! Location: The hotel was easily 10min walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. 15-20 to the station. 5-10min walk to Gusto/Ogino and other restaurants. Easily accessible on the main road. Staff: The female staff member (which I sadly didn't get the name of) who checked us in was super friendly and even gave us a tip for the fireworks that were on the night of our check in. When we drove off to the station on check-out she saw us in their shuttle and called for us to say bye. It was so lovely! Staff were very attentive and always checking up on us. I spoke little japanese but the staff tried to speak back to me in japanese which was very nice as I got to practice as well. Overall a wonderful stay!!

“True Japanese Ryokan and Onsen experience.”

From the arrival, the staff were very welcoming. Our rooms were immaculate and were beyond our expectations. The breakfast was a western breakfast we opted for, omelette, soup, steamed vegetables, yoghurt, fruit and a variety of breads. The location was central. walking distance to the lake.

Great location. Really accessible. But away from the madness of the main street/ train station. (20 min walk) Offer a bus back to the train station in the morning. All the facilities you could possibly need. Staff were wonderful.
