A very well equipped house, and we were kindly allowed to check out late.

“Unique and outstanding Japanese house with Fuji view”

Outstanding and unique old Japanese house, just a pleasure being in it. Everything was clean, we had all the appliances we needed and could stock up on a second futon for more comfortable sleep. You even have a view of Mount Fuji from the terrace (though a little blocked by the fence) and a beautiful walk to the lake. Convenience stores are within 15 min walking distance, as is the lake (15-20). Make sure to check bus times from the other side of the lake at night (they stop running at around 8 pm, most of the stores and restaurants close rather early anyway though). The bathtub was a pleasure as well (though English descriptions might be helpful). It was the perfect stay and we're already considering coming back for a longer time.

The apartment is nice but extremely cold and very dusty. The staff was non existent, in the sense that we've never seen nor heard from them. We asked if they could help us with something and they simply replied with a "no". Buses only come every hour and stop at 18pm. Very far away from everything. There was a sign in the bathroom saying that water had to be kept open all night to prevent freezing - this was obviously very annoying since there was no door between the room and the bathroom and we hear the water during the whole night.

The place is an old, traditional Japanese house. Place is beautiful and there more of this tape in neighborhood. There is everything what you need but in traditional setting.

“The perfect Japan feeling in a good location”

This was the most amazing accommodation from our 2 week-long trip in Japan. We kind of expected from the photos what to find but only when you finally get there you realize that it is real. Really great experience from the moment you enter and leave your shoes "out", enjoy the tatami floor and sleep in the futons. The "tea room" was great, with a warming blanket where we enjoyed some tea and talked about our trip. The A/C units in every room made sure that temperature was good, regardless of the lower temperatures outside (we visited in March). We also cooked while we stayed there, and nothing was missing. The loving room with the TV had an awesome vibe/feeling that I can not describe in words, it just felt right. The parking right in front of the door was super convenient and eliminated any anxiety off parking issues. The property was also very close to main places that we went to - Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, Chureito Pagoda, Haha-no-Shirataki Waterfall (steep hike), and the unforgettable Fuji-Q (do yourself a favor and try Fujiyama)

Overall vibe is very traditional Japanese. Clean and cozy.
