Overview
Renovated in October 2016, Tabist Yuen no yado Fujimi is a 7-minute walk from Jatco-mae Station. The property provides cosy accommodation with Japanese-style guest rooms and free WiFi throughout the property. It offers free laundry machines and guests can use the barbecue equipment on the rooftop. Fitted with simple decor, each air-conditioned room features tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a low table and seating cushions are provided. Bathroom and toilet are shared, and bath towels can be rented. Ryokan Fujimi boasts spacious public baths and relaxation rooms with the massage chairs. Guests can enjoy views of Mount Fuji while soaking their feet in a foot bath or relax in a library that stocks Japanese comics. A clothes dryer can be used at an additional fee. Traditional Japanese set meals are offered for breakfast in the dining room. There is a shared lounge space on site with a drinks dispenser where guests can refill drinks for free. The ryokan is a 15-minute bus ride from JR Shin-fuji Station. Mount Fuji 5th Station is a 70-minute drive, and Gotemba Premium Outlets shopping mall is a 40-minute drive from the property.

Free onsen, footbath on the rooftop with view of Mt. Fuji and free drinks. Room was nice as well. For that price, what more can you wish for!

“Value for money Hotel with full facilities”
Thoughtful amenities and facilities. Love the free flow drinks and common area on the ground floor. Iced lolly is wonderful respite for summer heat.

Everybody was really nice and very helpful with the search of vegetarian food. We even got a traditional vegetarian breakfast in an authentic Japanese style breakfast room of the hotel. The rooms are simple but have a nice traditional touch and the restrooms were always clean. We stayed in the non smoker area. The houses are separated so you don’t smell any smoke. We would love to come back!

We like the amenities in the place, such as onsen and free drinks (including alcohol), and toiletries. The breakfast was good and only 300 yen. They had a foot soak upstairs as well which was good.

“Great authentic Japanese experience with lovely host”
Traditional futon beds, roof top foot bath with views of Mt Fuji, bathing room with complimentary toiletries, yukata and slippers to wear during stay, free drinks both cold and hot and alcoholic, lovely kind host with good English, great traditional breakfast. Our family of 6 loved staying at Tabist!

The staff are so helpful, they have everything here for you. Free bar...help yourself, games for kids, hot chocolates, coffee you name it you paid for it as part of the booking. The view from the roof is amazing. The bed (mattress and weird little pillow) is surprisingly comfortable.

One of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in, ever. This alone wins all the points, as it is what I paid for. The view from the rooftop and the footbath were absolutely incredible. Nothing crazy, but it’s quiet and comfortable, and you can see nearly the whole mountain range. It’s also more elevated than most buildings around, so you can watch over the town, but still low enough to feel like you’re part of it all. The free drink bar is something I’ve never seen before, especially not at this price. There were so many things to choose from, most of them Japanese brands. Tea, juice and ice was also available. Staff were very kind.

Staff were so lovely. We had lots of free drinks (including the alcohol!!!) And enjoyed the food music playing in the lobby. We also really liked the yukatas and all the amenities available to us including the baths and all the mangas. Our host explained everything very clearly to us in English and made sure we were aware of all the amenities we could use. Best of all was the foot bath on the roof with a lovely view of mt Fuji.

“good experience Ryokan”
We wanted to try a Ryokan (traditional Japanese hotel) and we had a good experience. Though it happened to be a rainy day so roof top foot spa with Mount Fuji view was closed. The Ryokan does give a feel of a family run hotel (less commercial feel). Hotel is in 3 adjoining building and other than main building there were no elevators. Onsen was good. We asked for vegetarian breakfast and were provided with one which was good. We went for a walk in the neighbourhood in night and felt very safe.

“Amazing and cozy!”
I absolutely loved my stay here. The room instantly gave me a feeling of home and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the facilities were great! I can’t recommend this place enough.
