“Great stay”
The room had an amazing view of Mt Fiji and had a Japanese feel to it with the paper window and sliding blinds. The fact that you had to take off your shoes at the reception, put them in a locker and wear slippers around the hotel also added to that feel. Good selection for breakfast. We had a nice stay and staff was friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

Solid 7 it was a cute stay. Breakfast in price included, and it was solid! Laundry was good. The room itself was clean but a bit dusty. However the view was perfect onto Mt. Fuji and she was a Beauty!

“If you want to wait 35 minutes for just check-in and get your keys at 22:17, go for it!”
I have just checked in tonight. I booked through Booking.com for one night and arrived the hotel around 21:40-21:45. First, the young male staff took my passport but not helping me check-in as seems he found an issue in their system but he didn’t notify us immediately what happened. Just asked us to keep waiting. Then maybe after 5-10 minutes, he seemed help from his senior, an old male manager. They had kept apologising for the delay in check-in but they still didn’t tell us what happened. They saw my booking details and found it in their system. Towards the end, he said the issue was someone stayed in my assigned room so in their logic they need to fix it before giving me a room. I asked them if that’s the only room they’re available and if they had room for me, they confirmed that they did have other rooms. However, they insisted that we needed to wait for them typing on computer and waiting for ages until their internal issue was solved. After 25minutes wait, the young male staff offered us bottled water to make us feel better but in my opinion it’s already too late for that. I should also highlight that the staff didn’t say anything but just slapped the water on the table, it’s not the customer service that I have known in Japan. I’m not expecting 5star service in a 3star hotel but it’s basic for me to at least hand in the water politely while he’s busy to solve the issue. We waited for almost half an hour until this point. Finally, after I had made the final payment, the manager said it’s ready and took out the keys and stuff but actually he’s not ready yet. Then another few minutes wait again until we got our key and got to our room at 22:17. They did apologise a bit throughout that wait but for me it’s their stubborn attitude that caused the delay in check-in which is unacceptable.

The breakfast was the best ever. We book the room without mount Fuji view, but they gave us the room with view. So nice that we decided to stay another night. Super worth it.

We love that it's over looking Mt Fuji. If lucky, you will get a very good view of Mt Fuji from the window. Really nice for Instagram.

“The view of Mt Fuji in the morning was amazing.”
Rooms were traditionally Japanese and shoes were required to be left in a locker on the lobby. The buffet breakfast and view of Mt Fuji in the morning were great.

Our stay at Hotel Nishimura in Fuji was quite different from our previous hotel experiences in Japan, and unfortunately not in a positive way. Upon arrival, we were required to remove our shoes at the entrance and wear hotel-supplied slippers from reception to our rooms as part of their cleanliness policy. While I understand the intention, this was something I had not encountered in the many hotels I have stayed at in Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima, and it felt unusual to me. Unfortunately, the slippers provided were very small. My husband, who is a size 14, was still required to wear them, and his feet were half hanging out of the slippers, which was uncomfortable and impractical. I booked three double rooms for our group. The beds were comfortable, which was a positive aspect of our stay. However, the bathroom layout was quite disappointing. The shower was extremely small, and the toilet and sink were located in the room rather than in the shower area. The overall room layout and design felt awkward and very different from what I am used to in Japanese hotels. Breakfast was included in our booking, but this turned into one of the most disappointing experiences of the stay. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was extremely crowded, and there was no table available to seat our group of six together. We had to use two separate tables. When we moved two chairs slightly so we could sit more comfortably, a staff member spoke to us in a very rude manner, saying she did not have room to walk. This was clearly not the case, as there was enough space for staff and guests to move around from another direction. The interaction felt disrespectful, and the level of customer service was very poor—something I had not experienced at any other hotel in Japan. Another disappointment was regarding the room robes. We had called the hotel in advance to confirm whether robes were provided and were told that they were. Upon arrival, however, only small-sized robes were available.
