“A lovely Japanese hotel with amazing food”
This Japanese Hotel was wonderful as half board option. The food that was served for our stay was truly amazing. The first night we needed to a bit more of an explanation on what happens at a Japanese Hotel as we had never been to a Japanese Hotel. The second day the staff that were on explained a bit more at breakfast what it was that we ate which was great and also again the next few meals there after. We chose the Japanese room and all 4 of us were on the floor on Futons. This isn't for everyone but it was an experience.

“Enjoyable!”
The facilities were wonderful. We expected the Alpus space but it was perhaps not opened in cold weather. Koi chan were lovely, food for them was even provided for guests to enjoy ^^ Free private bath reservation a huge bonus. Public onsen was also enjoyable. The room was lovely, spacious, with open access to the back garden where you could actually walk and play with Koi chan. Duvet was in pink color. The garden was so nice. It was lightened up in the afternoon too. Dinner kaiseki was in private room, with some good unusual items. We had free umechu.

“Wonderful stay”
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, private onsen fully equipped, food was delicious, garden was lovely with koi fish and waterfall at night. Parking was available. Staff was curteous and polite. Great experience!

“The hotel has so much potential and yet so many misses.”
Dinner was above average. Private onsen in the room was convenient. The only English speaking staff there did made extra effort to made us comfortable. Overall the hotel environment is very nice.

“Expensive but worth it onsen resort.”
Amazing onsen resort. We booked a room with a private bath as we both have tattoos, so using the communal onsens can be tricky. The private rooms are gorgeous. The garden views and private tub are amazing and the traditional Japanese style rooms are so beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfy! Definitely get the full kaiseki style dinner at least one of the nights as it is a beautiful and delicious experience.

“Fabulous Traditional Ryokan”
Metei no Yado Kosher is a traditional ryokan in the small town of Isawa Onsen. The property is stunningly beautiful. The hotel rooms surround a traditional Japanese garden that is magically beautiful. Everything is considered. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. There is a public onsen but there are also private onsens, saunas, and hot rock bed rooms, which was great because you can enjoy the benefits in private, if you prefer this, rather than with others (which is the usual Japanese way). The food was also exceptional. We loved every minute and would definitely return!

“Nice stay in Yamanashi area”
Tranquil and they have a nice garden and a koi pond that you can over look from the room. Dinner was delicious with a generous portion.
