Authentic design, incredibly kind staff members. We could really feel like in a time travel. The onsen, the food service in the suite, the extremely kind receptionist, all essential elements are in place. It was the perfect location to go to Fuji.

“Great experience”
The place is absolutely gorgeous. The gardens are beautiful, the room was fantastic, and the staff very welcoming. The hotel had a lot of other guests but it felt at times we were the only ones from how quiet it was. The facilities are amazing and the room was exactly what we were looking for. It looks just like a traditional Japanese house, with a touch of modernity.

We all agreed this was one of the highlights of our first trip to Japan (two parents and a 16-year-old teenager). I especially loved my first onsen experience in the beautifully designed Japanese garden with its mystical rock sculptures. Combining the sauna, cold plunge, onsen, and quiet meditation was unforgettable. We also enjoyed feeding the koi fish in the garden. My family loved the traditional Edo-style room with futon beds, and we all enjoyed the delicious kaiseki dinner and breakfast. We hope to return again soon. Arigatō gozaimasu - ありがとうございます

Beautiful gardens and traditional experience - even more stunning in person than the photos. The private in-room onsen was a splurge but worthwhile. And we were lucky to have a view of Mt Fuji with our breakfast!

“A stunning traditional ryokan that exceeded all our expectations.”
This place is simply stunning. We spent two fantastic days here. The ryokan is located in a really peaceful area, 20 minutes by foot from Isawaonsen station. The (stone) garden is huge and beautiful with many corners to explore and countless colorful koi that you can feed. Our traditional Japanese room was so comfortable and a whole experience in itself. We enjoyed exquisite Kaiseki dinners and varied breakfast menus with all the best local and seasonal specialties, and the service from all of the staff was on the highest level. The onsen which is open 24 hours is beautiful and relaxing. We had a particular vision of how a stay in a traditional ryokan might be, and our stay here has exceeded all of our expectations. 100% recommended.

Very nice place to experience the traditional Ryokan. Especially the athmosphere of the place is exceptional. You can definitely feel like you are in the Old Japan with this marvelous archtecture. The staff were extremely kind. The food in the optional dinner experience was perfect. We also liked the traditional style breakfast.

“Beautiful Traditional Ryokan”
A very traditional Japanese Ryokan. Facilities a bit dated but spotlessly clean. Both in-room and public onsens were wonderful. The public open bath felt dreamy and serene under sunlight. Meals: fresh and high quality ingredients. Staff: all very nice but I was surprised even the young ones couldn't speak even a little English...
