The owners are lovely, the place is gorgeous and the food is wonderful! Easily accessible from the Camino (about 4km detour) although the owners offer a shuttle service if you stay for more than one night. Highly recommend.

“A wonderfully peaceful and luxurious two nights on the Camino del Norte”
Beautifully restored 300 yo Galician farmhouse with spacious rooms and spa bath. Lovely garden to have an evening drink in after a long day on the Camino. Hosts were very hospitable and helpful. Transport provided to and from Camino by hosts for €35. Dinner and breakfast on site.

“Haven”
Stopped here on the Camino Norte. It’s a bit of a detour from the Camino itself, although they do make that clear when you book. What they do however offer is to pick you up and deposit you back on the Camino if you are staying for a couple of nights. That way you could walk for 3 days without your pack ! Not something you might usually do. However, the setting of the hotel and the restaurant make it more than worthwhile. Without doubt my best Camino dining with local wine and great value. Hotel itself has been beautifully renovated over many years in an understated style. Very quiet and guaranteed a good night sleep.

“Paradise off route on the Camino”
Nerea and Javier were excellent hosts. the food and wine were spectacular. The location was a bit outside the Camino route but I was driven by the hosts each day. It was a wonderful 2 day stay . thank you

“Our Camino Highlight!”
This was one of our favorite stays on the camino! Nerea and Javier (and the dogs) were wonderful hosts and so helpful and pleasant. We stayed 3 nights and took advantage of the shuttle (which is usually a family member) from Baamonde and then Miraz and Sobrado. This was a perfect way to break up this stretch of the hike. the hotel is located in a remote rural area off the camino in a beautifully restored farmhouse and the atmosphere was great for meeting other travelers. When being dropped back in Baamonde we were told of a "complementario" route which was far better than the ordinary route out of Baamonde. Before booking this hotel I had read a review which said something like "you have no other choice so they overcharge for the meals." So I want to respond. The meals are slightly more expensive than the standard menu del dia. But the quality far exceeded the standard dinners. So the food in my opinion is reasonably priced. The food served in the restaurant was fabulous and some of the best of my journey!

“Perfect stay.Very rare experience.”
The breakfast was the best I have had during my 5 weeks visit in Spain.Very rich choice, and all very fresh(cakes/and even a choice of fruits, als all ripe and tasteful!). Location has very nice view over fields/Forrest.The hotel has a very very good restaurant with local (and home made)ingredients/vegetables/fish/soups/wine. The owners are so nice/kind,you really feel genuinely welcome, which is very rare these days.
