Overview
This traditional family run country inn exists since 1810. Landgasthaus Sonne offers a large sun terrace and great views of the Stockerbachtal Valley. Rooms and apartments at Landgasthaus Sonne are all non-smoking and traditionally decorated with wooden furnishings. All rooms include a seating area with satellite TV, and the apartments have a fully equipped kitchen. Bed linen and towels are included. A rich breakfast buffet is available in the rustic-style lounge or on the terrace. Regional dishes and homemade cakes are served in the on-site cafe. Electric bikes can be charged at Landgasthaus Sonne. It is 5 km from the spa town of Freudenstadt and the nearby hiking and cycling trails of the Northern Black Forest Nature Park. Guests enjoy free parking. The guest house is 300 metres from Grüntal bus stop and 5 km from Freudenstadt Main Station. An S-Bahn station can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. Guests staying for at least 2 nights receive a Schwarzwald-Plus card, allowing free access to many local services and attractions.

“Perfect stay”
Very welcoming staff, clean rooms, quiet area with birds singing, beautiful view with all the shades of green, delicious breakfast. Dinner was also very good with reasonable prices.

Very welcoming and very helpful hosts, exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet location as our base for exploring the Black Forest. We particularly loved the little egg cosies during the fab breakfast. Beyond cute! Tea and cake in the afternoon was delicious and most welcome sat in the garden enjoying the sunshine and views.

“Fantastic find in the countryside”
The owners and staff were so warm and welcoming. The place has had a recent renovation with no expense spared. The retro bowling ally was so fun. The restaurant was very good and we loved our stay at Sonne Guesthouse.

Super bedroom with separate living room. All modern country style. It was very useful havinf a seating area with dining table for snacks and writing or reading. We also had a great meal in the evening.

“A very nice place !”
We liked very much --- the room, the bathroom, the owners, the place. The hotel is a litlle bit far from Freudesntadt, but OK, the location is very interesting. We didn't have breakfast.

“Stay here, great location for discovering the Black Forest”
We chose a studio. It was a beautiful, new, well organised room with a great kitchenette. It was perfect. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We didnt eat here but it is very popular so must be good. We appreciated our own space after 2 weeks travelling around Germany and eating out. The town is a short drive away.

Amazing place with breathtaking views. The owner of the property were very nice, courteous and helpful. The breakfast was nice and the rooms were very clean. The staff was very friendly and place is very nicely maintained. There is ample parking and a nice breakfast is served every morning. Dinner buffet is too available on selected days. The hotel also offers a visitor city pass which you can use to view nearby attractions for free (like some meuseums and hohenzollenberg castle) All in all, a very pleasant and refreshing experience.

Very nice location in quite place. Nice view from the window. Possibility to have a dinner in restaurant. I can recommend to those who want to enjoy few days hiking in Schwarzwald.

“A comfortable stay for a nice holiday in the Black Forest”
The whole property is new and modern, has a good ambience. All balconies face a nice courtyard. There are options to play badminton, table tennis (or even kids' football). The host was very friendly. There is a cosy "restaurant" setup in the ground floor and the breakfast was good as well. There are sufficient parking spaces.

Very welcoming hosts , great location close to lots of attractions but still not inside a city. You get the shwartzwald card so you can visit some local attractions for free

“Brilliant!”
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant served breakfast in the morning and had a menu for supper. The food was great. The room looks newly remodelled with an awesome balcony and it was very quiet. Really great place to get away from the day to day hustle and bustle. They also offer a booklet with discounted and free things to do in the area.
