“A wonderful experience that we hope to repeat and share with our friends”

Absolutely everything, except for my own mistake in not booking a room that included all the facility’s offered. Never-the-less the management made me as comfortable as they possibly could! Such friendly thoughtful people. Their restaurant was outstanding. The menus, ingredients, recipes and flair in presentation would be worth going too on their own. Our mistake was sending only one night.

Excellent location only a short walk from the town centre. Our room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was good also. We appreciated getting a good private parking space.

Location is excellent, easy to find, close to centre. Comfortable room, lounge on top floor with tea and coffee and drinks. Restaurant does good food.

We arrived just before 10pm (the end of check-in period), and they had reserved parking for us. The beds were very comfortable.

A brilliant family run hotel, owned and run by Herr and Frau Gaiser, with a brilliant team of friendly staff. Also an excellent restaurant. A prefect location to explore the beautiful Black Forest.

The manager/owner was really helpful. Came out to greet us on arrival. Recommended a great restaurant for dinner and generally couldn’t do enough to help us. A great hotel & would definitely return.

Very welcoming, and fully prepared with room keys and bicycle storage. The staff at dinner were lovely and attentive.

“Great stay in a beautiful town.”

The staff went above and beyond to be helpful even helping with transportation options. I don't know if it's always available, but it was nice to receive a free public transportation card at the hotel. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm during our winter stay. The chef kindly went out of his way to make us dinner when the kitchen was technically closed.

We were upgraded to a junior top floor suite, very nice, clean and tidy. Good off road parking area and 3 garages for bikes but were full. Didn't have an evening meal however breakfast was excellent, would be nice to stop again maybe for longer.

“A perfect stay in the Black Forest”

This hotel is wonderful. When we arrived the owner came out to help with the parking, which we really appreciated. The room was large, perfectly clean and comfortable, with really cool features such as an iPad with hotel information, and really clever and functional bedside lights - something that I don’t usually comment on! The bathroom also had some cool features. As it was raining, we chose to stay in the hotel for dinner. This was probably the best decision of the holiday so far. The meal was absolutely wonderful and was the best trout that I have ever eaten - and I’ve had a lot of trout! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and we had a really nice chat with the chef (also the owner) at the end of the meal. Finally, breakfast was equally good, with a very good choice and range of what were obviously high quality products. The coffee is also excellent and served to order, something that often lets down many hotels with self service machines. If you are anywhere near Freudenstad, you should definitely stay here!

“Ideal stop over would recommend”

Shame that the restaurant was closed on the day we arrived but the breakfast was very good plenty of choice cereal, yoghurts, fruit salad and fresh bread. The room was a good size with two balconies
