A beautiful old house right at the start of the trail to Kvalvika beach. Don't expect a 4* hotel, but a cozy, homely experience in a building with history.

Lovely house near the sea with a lot of charm and history! Hermond was so nice telling us storys about the house and all the hikes and things we should visit. There is a path on the back that takes you strait to Ryten/Kvalvika trail and you can also easily go to the beach and trail by the sea. We loved to be in such and authentic house in such a beautiful location. We will try to come back one day 😊

Location is incredibly perfect for many hikes (including leaving directly on foot from the house to Ryten or Kvalvika). House has plenty of beds, and good communal space (ceilings are quite low though). Host was helpful and informative.

Perfect house with history. Authentic place to stay on Lofoten and to feel the real life there. Great owner, polite and precise. Strongly recommend for people who want to feel the soul of Lofoten's life. Not recommended for "hotel lifestyle" people.

“Cozy, authentic house”
The house is old and rusty, but this is a beauty of it! It is authentic and historic, but very comfortable and there are all amenities needed. (we were just two, so we just used the ground floor). The host is extremely nice and helpful, he gave us tour of the house and talked about the history of Lofoten and fishing here.

“A cozy house, as advertised”
The house is a self catering accommodation on the north coast, close to a beach. Unfortunately the weather was bad in the evening and there was no midnight sun visible. The house was cozy, as advertised. It is ideally located if you want to hike to the top of Ryten as a private path there starts right behind the property. The owner was very friendly and met us personally. Due to its size, with beds to up to seven persons, it is good value for money on Lofoten standards.
