“Great hotel with friendly and welcoming staff in picturesque town”

Welcoming hotel, doubling as pub downstairs, with friendly staff - would choose to stay here next time i'm in Oslo area, it's only an hour away. And Fredrikstad is an attractive town, plenty of things to see with free regular ferry services around the town.

Nice old historical building with renovated rooms. We got a full on breakfast even though it was the day before seasonal closing and few guests.

The staff were fantastic always happy to answer questions or assist with requests. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice and staff happy to top up things that were running low. Room was kept clean and bed remade.

Modern, clean, cozy rooms with comfortable beds. Nice location not too far from the station or city centre. Simple, but very good breakfast. Staff was really friendly and helpful. I got a higher floor with a nice view of the church which was very nice. Overall amazing stay! Would gladly come back!

Great location. Easy short walk from station. Quiet and peaceful at night. We had booked a double in error ( instead of twin beds...which the hotel does not have). The staff were great.... upgraded us to a room with a double and a large comfy sofa, which was very much appreciated. Tasty breakfast.

Very well-maintained, nicely decorated, and very clean hotel. Generally very quiet at night. Really comfy bed. Staff at reception and cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. Really appreciated the bathroom products in the shower. Central location - easy to walk to from car parks. Downstairs bar area really lovely! A good hotel for a solo traveller.
