A very welcome experience after a very busy week of work and travel in Sweden. The location is extremely convenient. Very good breakfast in a panoramic restaurant. Very good underground parking.

“Loud, disruptive and no chance to rest”
Despite being told a couple of days before that there was a Christmas party happening on the same night nothing (not even a pair of ear plugs given to us in jest at the reception) could prepare us for the noise for the duration of the night. Noise seemed to be coming from all directions, not just music and talking but doors banging all night. If the event was going to be this big and disruptive the hotel should have not made other bookings. We were given little time to Make other arrangements after being told the event was happening and the stay was truly awful. The hotel should not have been open to other paying guests at all this night.

“Before stopover after ferry before continuing holiday.”
Really comfortable room. Perfect location for a late night arrival from the Oslo ferry. Stepped off ferry - walked along a very long covered walkway. And 100 years later we were in the hotel. Great welcome - much appreciated after a long journey.

“An excellent place to stay in Frederickshaven”
Superb room (although we were upgraded) with everything (except an electric kettle - as per usual in Scandinavia) including a very comfortable bed and separate WC and roomy bathroom. The restaurant which had wonderful views served an excellent meal and all the staff were great.

Fantastic range of breakfast. Loved the view over the harbour at the restaurant. Great idea to have it on the top floor. The staff were all lovely! The rooms were setup as per our request. They accommodated our late check-in .

It is very close to the ferry terminal and there are restaurants, shops at a short walking distance. Standard double room was very clean and comfortable.
