Landgasthof Karner is located in a marvellous landscape, at the foot of the Alps between Munich and Salzburg. It is close to the E60 road and only 10 km from Lake Chiemsee. “A relaxing vacation in a place with a high level of service awareness”
The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was great. Check-in was quick and efficient. We received help and escorted to the room and car parking. The breakfast was very good.

“We were not welcomed and in fact felt discriminated against because we were not German!”
Booked the hotel for its indoor pool and quality restaurant. The breakfast was good each morning. The outsourced masseur was excellent.

“Lovely hotel close to a lake”
Breakfast was very rich and delicious. Nice pool, long enough to do some laps. The regular restaurant was OK, nothing special, prices a bit high.

Hotel is in very old building with history. That gives a special touch to your stay. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The staff is attentive and helpful. There is a good small spa area with hot water pool, sauna and hammam and everything is free of charge. Bathrobs and slippers you get at the reception on demand. Not too many parking places in front of the house, but you can easily park on the street nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here.

+ beautiful historical building in the middle of a charming village + super clean and comfortable room + additional bed and bowls for the dog (also poop bags provided) + fantastic breakfast (even some GF options on request) + very kind staff + great starting point for hikes, either directly from there or short drive

Very good breakfast. However, the restaurant was obviously the star attraction for the property and therefore very pricey for travellers passing through.

“Finest dining in a beautiful retreat.”
Great food in a quiet location. Sauna and a pool makes the stay even more comfortable. The bed was very comfy, we liked the feather bedding. The dining was exceptional good, with very friendly service. Breakfast buffet had a very good selection also.
