Umami Mountain Retreat offers accommodation 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Franschhoek. The elegantly furnished villas and cottages units come with a patio, a kitchen, and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy nature walks on our hiking trails, private or group yoga classes on our yoga deck overlooking the fresh water dam. Overall the perfect setting to unwind and restore. Complementary coffee, rusks and a jar of muesli can be enjoyed in the units. Boekenhoutskloof Winery is 1.7km from the property and the area has several wine estates to explore. The nearest airport is Cape Town International Airport, 76 km from Umami Mountain Retreat. Free WiFi is available.

The house is located just a few minutes out of town with large pond just behind the property which we could swim in. It felt very safe with the owner being very helpful.

The location in the Mount. Magical. The flora variety was lovely. Neighbouring estate has two zebra and an ostrich. Lovely walk with mountain view. Really great location.

In a beautiful quiet area . It was lovely sitting outside listening to the birds and in the evening star gazing ! We were able to take pictures of the Milky Way on our IPhones !!!
