Everything is amazing! The property is beautiful, the hosts are very genuine and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, better than in any of the cool cafes in town. The courtyard is a hidden spot to relax and the breakfast in the garden is something that will stay with us as a fond memory of our trip to South Africa! What a lovely find. The hosts made us feel so comfortable. We had our own private outside seating area in a lovely garden. Breakfast outside by the pool with the other guests was really enjoyable.

This accomodation was an absolute highlight of our trip. Stylishly decorated, wonderfully kept up and most importantly the lovely couple that runs it. The constantly fresh and different breakfast served in their garden tops the whole thing off. Can only recommend!

The Cottage on 55 is a lovely place with incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The breakfast was excellent, served in a beautiful garden. I would definitely book it again.

Our stay at Guido and Erna’s beautiful B&B was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. You can see and feel the love and care they’ve put into every corner of the place – from the stylish decor and spotless rooms to the little thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home. Breakfast was amazing every single morning – fresh, beautifully presented, and prepared with such attention to detail. Guido and Erna are incredibly kind and helpful hosts, always ready to share great tips about Franschhoek and its surroundings. Their warm hospitality made our stay extra special. The location is ideal – just a short and safe walk to the charming center of Franschhoek, where you can easily enjoy the restaurants, shops, and wine bars, even in the evening. Parking the car safely behind the gate was also a big plus and gave us peace of mind. We truly loved every minute of our stay and can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you, Guido and Erna, for making us feel so welcome – we can’t wait to come back!

We loved everything! The room in the cottage out the back was charming and quiet and our hosts were helpful and entertaining. The street felt quiet and safe and not far from restaurants and the main street. Oh my, Erna's breakfast was wonderful! Franschoek is quite an oasis of sophistication.
