“Great accommodation in Franschoek”

Breakfast from Norma was amazing, the best we had in our 4 week trip. Whole separate part of the house with comfortable accommodation. Great host, who helped us with general advice and places to visit. Nice little bar a few steps away for a late night drink and lovely walkable town of Franschoek on your doorstep, with great restaurants.

James is a very attentive and friendly Host. The property has everything you could possibly need for a short or longer stay and the location is perfect just off the Main Street where you can stroll to the many restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts prepared by Norma. We hope to visit again some day.

James was very helpful before and during our stay. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable with everything you might need, and a great breakfast. We really enjoyed using the pool, and the location is great - just a couple minutes to the restaurants. Private parking always a plus!

Excellent host, friendly and very knowledgable about the area. Location fantastic, 2 mins walk into town. Room had everything you needed and more. Spacious, comfortable, clean with excellent breakfast. Pool/garden area private and relaxing. Car parking safe and secure. Brilliant.

We were greeted by James and he then gave us a lift to the wine tram as we were running a little late, very considerate! It was comfortable accommodation and beautifully clean with everything that you could want for an excellent stay. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast and service was friendly and efficient.

Elegant, well equipped, spacious apartment. Five minutes walk from great range of restaurants and shops, and easy walking distance to wine tram . Very safe and quiet area. Comfortable bed and powerful shower . James is an exemplary host. Great communication before and during our stay . Couldn’t do enough to help us with recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Always available but never intrusive. Delicious breakfasts cooked to order by Norma who also did our laundry which we really appreciated.Norma is a lovely lady, gracious and she looked after us so well . She and James are a great team! Lovely private pool and garden. Looking forward to staying here again when we’re next in Franschhoek , and seeing James’s new extension and renovation- with his attention to detail and good taste we’re sure it will be fantastic. James and Norma were fantastic and so welcoming. The breakfasts were exceptional and room so clean and tidy. The location is the perfect spot in town, with the pool a perfect end to a day on the Wine Tram in the sun!

Fantastic place to stay. Good location- central to all art galleries, restaurants, market, 15 min walking from Wine tram station. Very comfortable warm bed, cozy rooms and beautiful garden with pool. James is very friendly host, he made the best fresh fruit salad and gave good tips for our wine tram tour. Breakfast was exceptionally delicious and freshly made. Would stay again in future!

“Loved Petit Ermitage Franschhoek.”

Location excellent Short walk into main street. James (and Norma (maid) made us very welcome.. Accommodation was excellent with your own pool and sunny garden. Everyone must do the wine tram, amazing experience. Saturday food market is worth a visit, food, music, and sunshine. ( only a 5 minutes walk away. There are plenty of good eateries and coffee shops all within walking distance. All in all, it's a great place to stay..

James and his staff are really lovely. They gave as useful advices in terms of the activities! The breakfast was excellent! Also the accomodation has much space and it felt like our own cozy home! We recommend staying at this place !

Beautiful place. We appreciated especially the warm hospitality by James, the owner, as well as the superb breakfast. The guesthouse is located at walking distance of restaurant (French connection highly recommended) and the wine tram.
