Beautiful views, stunning situation, quiet and peaceful. The gardens are lovely and quirky. Cottage is well equipped for short stays. The dam was a life-saver in the blistering heat, and we spent a lot of time keeping cool in it

“A little bit of heaven”
We love that Gecko feels rural, but the village is still easily accessible by car or on foot. We adore the wild swimming. We love walking through the indigenous gardens too. We love the peace and quiet. We also love the noisy wildlife. A little bit of heaven. It's close enough to visit my Mom and distant enough from her cottage to respect her space and privacy, too.

We loved the peace and quiet, the tranquillity and stillness of the gardens, the wild pond. The guinea fowl do have their noisy moments! Gecko cottage is a haven, and not so far from the village for supplies
