We loved the Zebra's in our back yard. They came to greet us every morning.

What a place to stay! The gardens and location of the property were fabulous and lived up to expectations. We loved the peacefulness and stunning mountain scenery, and when the zebras popped by, it really was the cherry on the cake. Our toddler loved them and explored the gardens. The open plan living space was perfect for our needs with everything we needed in the kitchen. The patio was very large, and we loved sitting out in the evenings listening to the sound of the animals as it got dark. We loved the fact there was no TV.

“Beautiful cottage with Zebras in the backyard”

The property is very well secured and conveniently located just a few minutes by car from Franschhoek’s city center. All the information provided beforehand was clear and extremely helpful, and Lance kindly allowed us to drop off our luggage before the official check-in time, which we really appreciated. The cottage itself is simple, comfortable, and self-catering, with several grocery stores only a short drive away. The kitchen is small, but perfectly adequate for a stay of a few days. There is a parking spot right in front of the entrance door. What truly made the experience magical were the zebras, springboks, and gnus roaming freely in the backyard. Our one-year-old daughter was absolutely mesmerized by being so close to these beautiful animals—it made our stay unforgettable.

Paid extra for the breakfast. It was so professionally presented and delivered. Loads of choice and options to take. Really lovely and the host who made the food was great company too! The hosts communication was great and very considerate. We had a small problem late evening and the host was there straight away to fix the issue. They were super friendly and helpful. Amazing house and location. Will definitely be back to visit again, next time with the rest of the family!

The accommodation had a lot of space, both inside and outside. It was very calm and watching the zebras from our porch was the highlight of our stay. Also, Lance the host, was super helpful and kind! The checkout was no problem and neither was early check-in. The price is extremely fair for the comfort and friendliness you're getting.

We loved our stay here, it’s the most perfect country cottage with beautiful mountain views featuring the comfiest beds. We had everything we needed here. The wildlife reserve at the back of the cottages is beautiful, we came very close to the zebras each day and loved having breakfast outside each day. Would recommend hiring a car for stays here. Perfect for families and couples. A short drive to the town and Franschheok Wine Tram which was lovely too! :)

Great comfortable and spacious nicely decorated rooms in a superb setting, outside town but very close to it. You feel your in the countryside but in 5 minutes you are having breakfast at Bootleggers. Kids loved the zebras in the yard. Great place to explore all the wineries in Franschhoek. Owner has the best tips for town but helped us out with tips for the rest of our journey in South Africa! Amazing!

“Sweet Cottages Not Too Far From Town”

Lance was very friendly and once we connected on WhatsApp, communication was easy. The cottages are pretty basic, but they have everything you need and were clean. They also prepared beds for the children which was great. There is wifi in the rooms, secure parking right outside the door and the cottages are actually pretty close to town.
