“A Hidden Gem”

We have been travelling around Calabria and Apulia off and on for eighteen years. This destination was exceptional. What a fantastic Masseria. Started with a warm welcome from Antonello. Large and beautiful rooms and a truly wonderful evening meal courtesy of Frederico ....the gentle restaurant host also in charge of the kitchen. The local and incredibly good value Primitivo wine was much appreciated. Breakfast the following morning included freshly squeezed fruit juices accompanied by a mixture of delicious and scrumptious local delicacies. A relaxing and uplifting stay which we could, and have, fully recommended.

We had a great stay at Masseria Nuova. Very calm and helpful staff even though they didn’t speak very well English. Getting served fresh juice everyday was really nice to start the day.

This accommodation is located in the countryside on a very quiet place, in the middle of olive and grapes fields. Hence, it is very relaxing and it really looks as great as on the pictures. There are also very nice small towns nearby e.g. for an evening walk. Apart from a great breakfast, you can even have a very nice dinner directly at the Masseria Nuova. So although it is a bit longer drive to reach the beach, it is definitely recommended to stay at this Masseria at least for few days. We also purchased nice wine there produced from grapes growing around.

The food was out of this world, and served at the inner yard of this castlelike masseria. We had a full dinner and tried antipasti, primo and secondi - ALL food was extreamly good, as well as the masserias own wine and the amaro. Everything felt homemade and genuine. The breakfast was also insanely good and generous. The homemade juice was the best I’ve ever had. And the homemade yougurt was incredible. Louis was very helpful and welcoming even though we didnt quite understan everything in italian. Language doen’t matter when quality was the most important thing:) Beautiful place, and very calm.

The staff were fantastic. Luigi went out of his way, as did Cosimo, despite some struggles with the language barrier! The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We also had a lovely dinner on our first night. We were visiting with friends for a wedding, so the location was perfect for us, but it is quite remote.

Beautiful place and amazing breakfast. Each day we had different combinations, with home made food and including Italian options to know typical food about the country. The yogurt was incredible. The place was quiet and the decoration is simple and relaxing.

It would be good if someone was able to speak some basic English or French or German even ... Communication was possible only with hands gestures which is very limited and rather frustrating . Everything was very clean beds were great the bedroom big and comfortable and the site in the middle of the countryside was very quiet . Beautiful architecture

The building and the garden are large but there are only 7 or 8 rooms so it does not get busy. The en suite was romantic, chique, so spacious and fully equipped for a comfortable stay! We were free to roam and stroll around the beautiful gardens and olive and vine plantations. Shout out to Riccardo for welcoming us and making us feel home from the very first moment! Staff were super kind and attentive in every case! We had a lovely dinner in their cozy restaurant - food was beyond amazing and we had wine from their own produce which ticked all boxes for me and my husband, we even bought a bottle to take with us.
