Overview
Offering stunning mountain views from all units, Sunset Motel is just a short stroll from the Fox Glacier village. Set in tranquil farmland, all units have full glass frontages to allow for unimpeded views of Mount Cook and the rugged Southern Alps. There are 25 spacious ground floor units. All feature a kitchenette, some offer a spa bath. Each unit offers an outdoor furniture setting on a courtyard patio which offers views of the Southern Alps and magnificent sunsets. Sunset Motel is less than 1 km to centre of the Fox Glacier village, which hosts award winning cafes, restaurants and bars. Continental breakfast is available on-site. The team at Sunset Motel can arrange a variety of activities including scenic flights, Glacier Heli-Hikes and more for guests. Discounts on the Hot Pool in the glacier area can also be arranged.

Very clean and comfortable room. The kitchen had basic cooking facilities, which were perfect for making dinner. The mountain views from the window were stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Came here on off season so got a fantastic rate on one of the best rooms they had to offer. With spa bath and fantastic views of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman, this was an absolute highlight.

Wonderful garden and mountain views from unit. Large room with outdoor seating. Free wifi and car park right outside door. Great location, would recommend only stay with own transport as a little way from township.

Although a bit dated, the property was spotlessly clean and tidy with a great view from the room to Mt Cook and Mt Tasman. It was close to the main township and the best restaurant in town Betsey Jane.
