Overview
Mt. Cook View Motel offers self-contained accommodation in Fox Glacier, with stunning views of Aoraki (Mt. Cook) and Mt. Tasman. It features free Wi-Fi, barbecue facilities and free parking. All accommodation at Mt. Cook View feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a kitchen or kitchenette with cooking facilities. Electric blankets and tea/coffee making facilities are included. Most rooms offer a spa bath. The tour desk can provide travel advice and book helicopter flights or walks on Fox Glacier. Fax and photocopying services are available. Laundry facilities are also provided for guest use. Motel Mount Cook View is located just a 5-minute drive from Lake Matheson. The Fox Glacier Car Park is 10 minutes’ drive away. Hokitika is a 2-hour drive from the motel.

Staffs were super friendly,Ellie was at the reception when we arrived, was greeted with two dogs,bimish(black lab) & tarm(mix breed). Everything was clean neat and tidy,will definitely come back again if given a chance.

It’s was comfortable and clean and had all we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Beds were comfy, pillows even more so.

“Exceeded our expectations in so many ways”
The kitchenette was very well equipped, the room had a lot of space, and the beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows. The man at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. And when the clouds finally lifted a bit, we could see the glacier from our front window!
