Lake Matheson Motel offers peaceful, newly renovated accommodation with views of Mt Cook, only 400 metres from the main street of Fox Glacier town centre. Each room has electric blankets and new Smart-TV's. Situated on the West Coast highway and accessible by car or bus, Lake Matheson Motel is just 8 minutes’ drive from Lake Matheson. It is a 20-minute drive to the Glacier Hot Pools and West Coast Wildlife Centre. All studios and apartments at Lake Matheson Motel Fox Glacier include covered car parking, free WiFi, heating, hairdryers and cooking facilities. Some have a private spa bath. Guests have access to a garden with outdoor seating and barbecue area. Facilities include a guest laundry and tour desk. The motel offers free transfers to/from the bus depots. Continental breakfast is available and can be served to the guest rooms.

“Does what it says on the tin!”
Close to amenities. Clean and basic, ideal for a short stay on the way up the coast. Chilly but electric blankets on the beds and portable heaters. Close to Betsey Jane Eatery where we had an outstanding meal.

The location is a short walk to the main street. There is a guest laundry, and it is cheap to use.

“Clean and basic”
Good location for Fox Glacier, with short stroll into town. Well equipped kitchenette although need to check supplies as dishwashing liquid was empty- I hope previous people washed up properly- we couldn’t.
