Overview
Ibis les Etangs des Moines is located next to a fishing pond, 20 km from Val Joly and 3 km from Fourmies. It offers a garden, rooms with pond views and free Wi-Fi. Each room has a flat screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. The decoration is contemporary and simple. A buffet breakfast composed of sweet and savoury dishes such as eggs, fruit salad, yogurts and juices is served every day. Pastries baked on site and fresh French Madeleine cakes are also on offer, as well as a hot beverage and a piece of fruit to take away. Catering on site in the evening from Monday to Thursday Free public parking and newspapers are available at the hotel. Guests can drive the 22 km to Chimay Castle or visit Saint Michel Abbey, 15 km away.

“More than I expected”
It was actually a nice surprise. I have no experience with the Ibis hotels. That was the only hotel in that region where I had to travel for work. The hotel has a parking right in front.There is even a possibility to have diner. The staff at the reception was absolutely lovely. It was very clean (I'm difficult). Note that it's just in front of a beautiful lake. Even though the window of my room was quite small I still could view the lake. I stayed in room 223. There was a shower / bathtub. The bed was comfortable enough. It's also possible to bring your pet for an extra fee (I think they said 15 EUR).

“Comfortable hotel in a lovely setting and a welcome overnight stop on a long trip”
Good clean and well presented hotel, good supply of power sockets and lovely surroundings. Had stayed here 40 year ago and it was good to return to find things much as I remember but of course updated.

“A lovely location and friendly staff.”
A lovely welcome on arrival and friendly staff. The rooms are nice and quiet, and you can open the window too which you can’t do in a lot of budget hotels. It’s easy to find and located on the edge of a wonderful forest and lakes, perfect for those with fur pals on board.

Good stop over location for our return channel crossing. Staff friendly and helpful, nice restaurant next door and lake to swim in if thats your thing.
