Was expecting a hotel room on the first floor however Veronique gave us a wonderful apartment on the ground floor because of my wife's difficulty in climbing stairs, it was greatly appreciated. The location of hotel particular is absolutely fabulous right in the historic part of town and very close to all the wonderful historic locations around particularly the garden which in October was still a mass of color tended by the towns groundsmen. Parking was not problem as it could be found a little way up the road parking within the White marked areas for as long as you wish. Veronique was very understanding of my school boy French, and only two happy to communicate in perfect English, a wonderful host.

“The perfect stop”
It was a fabulous property with parts dating from the 15th century, that has been carefully, sympathetically and lovingly, restored by Veronique. Everything was clean, well chosen, stylishly in keeping, and very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect, and enjoyed in good company with Veronique, whose English is far better than my French. It was really the service from Veronique that made this stay so so special. She could not have been more pleasant, more helpful or accommodating - even with me turning up way too early!

“The perfect stop”
It was a fabulous property with parts dating from the 15th century, that has been carefully, sympathetically and lovingly, restored by Veronique. Everything was clean, well chosen, stylishly in keeping, and very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect, and enjoyed in good company with Veronique, whose English is far better than my French. It was really the service from Veronique that made this stay so so special. She could not have been more pleasant, more helpful or accommodating - even with me turning up way too early!

“A charming hotel in a beautiful town”
The hostess was lovely and ready to oblige at any moment. Parking was free nearby which was a bonus. We appreciated the larger bed and access to fridge and kitchen. The location was very quiet and not far from the gardens and castle. The supermarket was also close by.
