“We felt like royalty!”

Absolutely everything ! Have stayed in 100’s of hotels, BnBs, hostels etc over many years of travel. This place tops the list! Valentina was probably the best manager we have ever come across. A true Princess. The setting. The history. The staff. The village. The breakfast all outstanding. I note some previous reviews nitpicked about minor issues. Complaining there was no air conditioning? Or there were stairs. Etc. It’s a Castle and you are there to experience something unique. Not a 5 star cookie cutter hotel. Actually we own a Castle in Australia but this one is more worthy of a stay. Even for a knight. If you are doing the Cinque de Terre, it is located nearby and worthy of extending your visit to this area. Thanks again. Prince Peter

Kind and helpful staff, location is 1000/10, affordable price, cosy and tasty food made out of local products, you can also purchase local wine in the little store, the views are breathtaking, you’re also free to walk around the castle and discover its secrets, we didn’t ask for a tour but there is an option - and I highly recommend taking it to learn the history of this beautiful place. Overall amazing two-days trip, will come back! thank you!

The staff were absolutely lovely, so accommodating and welcoming. The breakfast was stunning, fresh and very tasty. The views, gardens, location was amazing, really impressive, beautiful medieval castle......a must visit.

Stunning castle in the hills. The staff are wonderful and caring. Great to have free access to he castle and roam around at your leisure. The antipasti boards are delicious and would recommend. The rooms are in the castle and very traditional. Lovely breakfast.

Location and view, heating working, aperitivo was great, the staff was very welcoming, and you can walk around the castle all day/night without supervision, amazing breakfast. No ghost but appropriate decoration for a jump scare

Staying in this beautiful castle is a real experience and a time journey. The historical autheniticity, the top hill location and the interior decoration are amazing. The team is really showing a lot of love for the details and are doing a wonderful job. Also the breakfast is very good !!! I definitely recommend this unique place for anyone who is ready for an historical adventure.

“Not just a room for the night, a unique experience”

The wow factor of this place is off the scale! The castle itself, the views, the whole experience was beyond anything we expected! Book the evening Aperitvo, it's worth it. Ambra, the young man who looked after us during our stay was exceptional. Friendly, helpful and courteous at all times, he and the rest of the staff were a delight. Having free roam of the whole castle was an unexpected bonus.

Pictures simply don’t capture the magic of this castle, it’s far more magnificent in person. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into another world. Wandering through the castle and having access to all the communal areas was a true privilege, and every corner seemed to tell a story. Astra at reception, if I remember her name correctly, was an absolute delight, kind, helpful, and always greeting me with a warm smile. The castle tour with Maria was equally wonderful, her knowledge and passion for the history of the castle shone through, making the experience even richer. The views were breathtaking, the horizon stretching endlessly, the river meeting the sea, it was impossible not to feel awe. My stay was just one night, but I already long to return, explore more of the surroundings, and go hiking through the area. I truly didn’t want it to end. The room was cozy and comfortable, with an incredible sea view that made waking up a joy. Breakfast was generous and satisfying, offering great value for the price. Every moment of my stay felt special, and this castle left me with memories I’ll cherish forever.

Its a stunning location, steeped in history, and our room was large and ensuite, with a great view.

Breakfast was good, The grounds and relaxing locations in the castle had perfect spots to relax in. The basic amenities were just fine, to change to update would impact with the ambience of living in an old castle. The village around the castle is worth exploring as are the local cafe/restaurants.

Amazing and exeptional experience!

The castle and the staf are absolutely lovely. The breakfast is great with local products. There is a terrace, a garden and a livingroom which you can use. To discover the castle is also very nice, even outside the openinghours of the museum.
