One of the best hostels I've stayed in for a while, felt like there was something for everyone whether some tranquility by the river, volley ball in the pool, co working space or staying up for a few drinks & trivia night. It was clean & comfortable and excellent location, walkable to everything in La Fortuna.

Good location and lovely stream of water by the garden. Nice, social atmosphere in the kitchen. There was also a coworking space which I didn’t use but would be a huge plus if I’d needed it.

The hostel is very well located and well kept, the vibe is also friendly and relaxed. Kudos to the receptionist Alfredo which was amazing! Polite and helpful he was great solving an issue with my reservation, honestly one of the best treatment I have ever received in an hostel! Overall all the staff was great and very helpful

“Good hostel for a couple or nights or for young social crowds”

This hostel is great for young travellers and people who want to spend a couple of nights in La Fortuna at a budget. Bunk beds are comfortable. They have a pool area and bar/restaurant to socialise with other travellers. The team was welcoming and helpful and they organise social activities daily. Great position.

“Beautiful and conveniently located”

We got upgraded to a room with A/C and a view of the volcano, which was very much appreciated. The room was very nice, all clean and we had loads of space and everything we needed in our private room. The common areas are beautiful, the breakfast is outstanding and the locatiom is very convenient, lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance.

Viajero Hostel La Fortuna is a very nice hostel with a good atmosphere. People are friendly, it is really close to restaurants, bars and supermarkets, and it has great facilities. The room was good, but not great.
