“Breathtaking views, great amenities”
Amazing view, literally draw dropping from the balcony. Worth it just for that. The rooms are extremely clean and air conditioned, and the balconies are private. It is tucked away about 25m from the town, so it is quiet and peaceful, allowing you to hear the jungle sounds. There is a restaurant, pools, spa (you have to pay) and a private jungle walk (also paid) as well as on site parking.

“We absolutely loved the room and the view from our balcony to the volcano!”
We absolutely loved the room and the view from our balcony to the volcano! We also appreciated that there was a dehumidifier in the room to quickly dry our clothes. The dinner at the restaurant was also excellent, although very expensive. We also enjoyed the hot spring pool, but would have loved that the other pool would have been a bit warmer/heated: this pool was the coldest pool we had in all the hotels we had been staying at in Costa Rica.

“Great stay, in the heart of the jungle… literally!”
Great hotel, surrounded by nature with a volcano view. They have their own jungle trail, but take a guide, Otherwise it’s just a walk in the forest. Important info: one of the two pools is heated, so you can have the thermal experience. It’s a very good establishment if you have kids. Mine enjoyed the hotel a lot. We had an apparent with living room and two bedrooms, very spacious. I also visited the spa and it was one of the best massages that I have ever had. No need to mentions that the staff is great and the hotel is very clean. I would have like our stay to be longer.

“Horrible location as it is sooooo far away from anything. Meant that you are stuck with hotel restaurant. We were stayin”
Horrible location as it is sooooo far away from anything. Meant that you are stuck with hotel restaurant. We were staying 3 nights at the hotel and eating there a lot. We had 3 kids one being a baby. And when we asked just boiled pasta without any salt or sauce and couple boiled broccolis they charged us 2 meals one called “pasta bolognese” (for a small bowl of plain boiled pasta) and something else. The baby is 7 months. We are talking about a tiny portion of pasta with 2 broccolis. It all came to 20 dollars.- baby’s food. Absolutely ridiculous. The staff said it is the manager who put the charge. We had a feeling that just because we are stuck there they want to get advantage of that. We refused to pay 20 dollars and managed to bring it down to 10 but still- they could simply show a decent service and give our baby 2 broccoli pieces and smallest pasta plate (we are talking about 3 spoons) for free. We were ordering 4 meals already . Overall bad experience. Also soooo many aggressive raccoons in the terrace/ we couldn’t really sit there.

“Superb Lodge with excellent facilities and really helpful Staff”
Location was excellent within three minutes drive of Mistico Park. We went to the park in the afternoon and it was really quiet. It was also a short drive from one of the Park trails near Arenal Volcano area now the Silencio Trail. The breakfast was excellent with a huge range of fruits and different Savory options. The bar was in a very pleasant environment when we went it was unseasonably cold for February and so we needed to wrap up warm in the restaurant and bar and use umbrellas. We went on a guided hike around the lost iguana Trail but I think we could’ve done this on our own unguided. We had a volcano review which was superb and it gave us the opportunity to see the top of the volcano. I definitely recommend the volcano view rooms.

“An exclusive visit in paradise”
This was a divine place to stay. The resort is split into several houses with rooms on ground level and first floor. The rooms on the first floor have high wooden ceilings. The AC is very good and silent. WIFI is also fine. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. You live on a hillside opposite to the volcano and have the volcano in full view. The view changes all the time due to the weather. You can spend hours on the balcony. This is proper rain forrest and it rains daily. Half the experience of living here is walking the hotel grounds either by day or in the evenings carrying a flashlight. There are all kinds of critters to see. There are many trails to explore. There are always hummingbirds buzzing around and toucans visit from time to time. After a week you will know the different birds by their calls. We visited in late august and can highly recommend coming in the rainy season. Everything is green and fresh and there are flowers everywhere. You also avoid the crowds. The hotel was only about 20% booked which gives the visit a very private and exclusive touch. The nearby Mistico park was also not overrun. The same goes for the volcano trails. You pay by credit card everywhere. You can let all tours and extra costs go to the room and just pay a total at the end of the stay. Just bring cash for tips. We came for nature experiences and didn't use the pool, bar or the spa. We can recommend the Caño Negro and the Coffee & Cocoa tours.
