A great place, with wonderful people, and so calm, take the dinner over there it is really great.

“Rainforest stay with amazing wildlife, good value, and a few practical trade-offs”

The lodge is truly in the rainforest. We saw many animals near our lodge and from the restaurant, especially after sunrise. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. Breakfast is good, though not very extensive. If your group size allows, I recommend choosing a tent instead of a family room. The rooms are on the other side of the road and feel less immersed in the rainforest than the tents. We were happy we could switch from a room to a tent. The shower only gets lukewarm at best. The last 3 km to the lodge is a dirt road. A 4x4 is not necessary, but I do recommend an SUV for the extra ground clearance. Most activities are near La Fortuna, so expect about a one-hour drive each way.

Buffet breakfast was included, good selection, eggs made to order. Good menu for dinner, reasonable prices, food tasty and you could watch it being cooked.

Was very authentic and remote - really gave us a unique experience of the cloud forest. Away from the more tourist areas. Nice trails and lots of frogs!

“A magical stay”

The setting was exceptionally good right in the middle of the rainforest, with frogs singing to fall asleep to. The staff were so helpful and did all they could to accommodate our needs. The restaurant was wonderful with a great included breakfast and eveything we had of the evening menu was delicious.

“A lovely retreat in nature”

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Joel on the night walk was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The favorite part of our mornings were sitting outside our cabin and watching the birds. There were so many different species that would fly in and perch in the trees rights in front of our patio! We enjoyed the trails. They were well groomed.They were easy hikes but not well marked in some places. It was a great place to relax in nature.

Nice retreat-feeling place. We loved our little cabin and the calm. Waking up and seeing tucans flying around your lodge is an unreal feeling. Also really nice massage options.

“Amazing place to stay”

Gorgeous place to stay. You are really in the rainforest. The food is excellent, both the included breakfast and the dinners in the lodge were highlights of our trip. Easy access to lots of things to do that are off the beaten track - we went to El Bosque de Tio Victor for hiking and to a nearby coffee farm.

The lodges are in the middle of the forest and it’s truly a unique experience. You can do a very cool hike on the property itself and see mini waterfalls, butterflies, birds. Also, there is nice breakfast with plenty of options. The rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurant is working for lunch and dinner, and the vibe is great - there is lovely music playing all the time and the vibe is great as people gather round there in the evening. The staff is very nice.

If you are true nature lover it is the place to be at. You stay in the middle of the forest. Take a night stroll with a headlamp. You may find interesting night creatures.
