Overview
Hotel Arenal Lodge is located in 2,000 acres of rainforest filled with exotic birds, wild animals and tropical vegetation. It offers unrivalled panoramic views of Arenal Volcano and Arenal Lake. Arenal Lodge has a bird-watching garden with hummingbirds and more species and a fitness room with sauna. There is a children’s games room, and an outdoor play area. The chalets and suites at Arenal Lodge Hotel are modern and spacious. All types of accommodation have a cable TV, and some offer astonishing views of the volcano from the bedroom. The restaurant serves fresh seafood, meat and pasta all day. Some dishes are made with organic, locally sourced ingredients. The dining room offers views of the volcano. Room service is available.

“Old rooms and saw small snake in bathroom”
Hotel rooms are old and we saw small snake in our bathroom. For the price we paid we expected a better rooms. Location also too far from main road and road to hotel from main road is very bad condition

“Very nice stay at Vulcan Arenal!”
The place and outlook are very nice on the vulcano, from room and from jacuzzi :) The secret hike trail is very nice and should not be missed (Mariposa trail?). Jacuzzi is also very nice extra.

“Wet and damp! Very good massage.”
Very helpful staff on reception friendly and effecient. Good quality food on menu in restaurant. We enjoyed the junior suite room. Showers work well and good hot water. We had a massage which was exceptionally good.

70s charm. Atmospheric and thematic interior, wooden style. Nice beds. Excellent jacuzzi and pool with amazing view. Beautiful garden with many (!) birds. Staff were helpful. Jungle trek was a bonus - mind your step! Wifi works.

“Stunning views of Arenal volcano- an exceptional hotel”
Great facilities- I went horse riding- wonderful. We had a chalet - breathtaking views. Jacuzzi- gorgeous. Jungle trail was nice too. Restaurant food was exceptional and fairly priced.

“Really Disappointing. If in a standard suite, this hotel is not 3 star accommodation.”
The pool table, table football and walking trails could be great. They’re a bit dated and unloved, but still the highlight. The pool is nice and clean but much smaller than it appears in the photos.

“Unforgettable”
The premises are absolutely stunning. We were in a junior suite and the view when we woke up was just amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful, food is good and the rooms are comfortable, spacious and have everything you need.
