“Great place to stay in La Fortuna”

One of the best apartments that we stayed. Design of the apartment is really cool and amazing, we really liked it. Liked the concept of open space/ outdoor kitchen and living room but closed bedroom and bathroom. Really good communication with the owner via Wapp about everything. Breakfast was simple but nice for starting the day. Its 15-20min car ride to La Fortuna Waterfall and pretty close to all restaurants or cafes. The lady who welcomed us only speaks spanish which I would say wasn't a bad thing just something that the owner could notify us, but didn't really bother us since she was polite and nice, but only a heads up would be nice. Definately would recommend the place to everyone who wants to stay in La Fortuna.

We absolutely loved this accommodation! Well equipped, comfy, giant pool, very clean and private, plus an excellent breakfast! Karina and Elkis took perfect care of us, Karina arranged tours for us that were just breathtaking! We have stayed at 6 different places in Costa Rica and this one was by far the best!!❤️

“Great innovative place to stay.”

There are two properties here - one with a jacuzzi and one with a pool. They are both exceptional in their own way. The first one has a large bedroom / bathroom with everything else - huge lounge (with hammocks) kitchen, jacuzzi coming under the roof and within the living walls. It was great. The second place was more luxurious and had more indoor accommodation - lovely and light with a great pool. The hosts - Karina and Freisy (and Elkis) were exceptionally helpful and provided great breakfasts too. We went out horse riding with them too in their new place near Tenorio national park. A fabulous experience all round.

A truly remarkable place, photos don’t do it justice! Sitting on the sofa, or lying in a hammock, while the living ‘wall’ buzzes with life, humming birds, lizards, butterflies, lots of bird species I cannot name; all a few feet away, incredible! The bedroom was huge, good firm mattresses, walk-in wardrobe, large bathroom. The kitchen area was very well equipped, with quality items: amazing American style fridge freezer with very welcome cold water and ice dispenser, full size oven, microwave and all the utensils you could need. Even the washing machine looked brand new and was Samsung.

We had a fantastic stay at Home La Fortuna. Thank you so much Karina for your hospitality and all the nice tipps to make the most out of our stay. We definitely enjoyed being your guests.

These two bedroom holiday home was much better than the pictures suggest. The pool was lovely. The garden full of wildlife. The kitchen very well appointed and equipped. Netflix to use in the evening. And as the name suggests extremely safe. Kari - the owner - was super helpful.

A lovely pool area with so many different birds ,beautiful flowers and plants. The owners Freisy and Karina are such a lovely couple, they made us feel so welcome and they were so friendly with our girls,Karina is a guide and she took us to a national park ,she was so in tune with nature and told us so much about the animals and the plant life .We can’t recommend this stat enough.

Karina and her husband are great hosts! We loved everything about our stay: breakfast was delicious, Pool was heated, apartment was very clean and the garden is great. When you are in la Fortuna: this apartment is a Must ☺️ will definitely come back ♥️

Nice luxurious place just outside the busy tourist places. Big pool. Good breakfast. Spacious for 3 persons. Kari really went out of her way to help us. She got us a massage at our private pool!

The house is very comfortable, especially the swimming pool. The hosts were very helpful, it’s a great place to stay.

Pool is very good for playing with kids, host are kind and helpful giving good recommendations for spending a day in national parks, cacao farms etc. You can see honey bird and toucan here!

Everything was beyond expectations. Totally relaxing. Spotlessly clean. Our hosts were fantastic. And the traditional breakfast was perfect before our drive home.

The house was modern, well equipped, very clean and had a beautiful garden and a fabulous private pool and covered parking. It’s also very private and secure. Our host Friesy was so helpful and can book taxis deliveries and tours if your would like them. The garden attracts all sorts of beautiful birds and it’s lovely having breakfast and watching them from the patio.

We loved our stay here. The hosts were lovely and easy to communicate with, the pool is great fun and the bedrooms and bathrooms all really clean. The facility to wash our clothes was helpful and it just a really nice place to stay. It is a little outside of town but we loved that and the local pizza restaurant is great too.

Big house, very good breakfast and amazing pool for relaxing. We made all the reservations for activities through our hosts with discounts, everything they recommended to us was great. We enjoyed every day. Recomend to all.

“Perfect for families and true relax”

A quiet location perfect for various trips in the Volcano Arenal area. You will have a lot of privacy there and you're just 10-15 min away from noisy and crowded La Fortuna. Nice swimming pool and tasty breakfasts :) Various birds are visiting the garden all day long, the best time to observe the nature is early morning :) There are two bedrooms with their own, fully equipped bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchen. And most importantly: very helpful hosts that were even following the weather news for us!
