Staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us with our luggage when we arrived and after i got food/water poisoning (from a local restaurant) the staff helped with getting to a pharmacy. Also helpful in giving us guidance on transport and how to get to another town. We had an en-suite room (private bathroom) on a first floor with shared kitchen/lounge. Overall the other guests kept the space clean and cleaners came during the day. Each room has labelled baskets /trays in the fridge and cupboards (so you can leave your food items in these without confusion on what belongs to which guest). There is a communal reception area with coffee/teas/water. There is a minimarket 2 min walk from the hostel. All things considered good value for money.

I had the most wonderful experience here. I’m so sorry I forgot the host’s name, but she was incredibly kind and helpful. She patiently answered all my questions, helped me plan my entire itinerary, and booked everything right away. The place itself was very clean and perfectly located in downtown—everything was within walking distance. I absolutely loved my stay and would recommend this to anyone. The host truly made all the difference for me!

Very quiet location but easy walk into centre. Kitchen and balcony were great for making breakfast and relaxing. Staff at hotel Alicia were very helpful for our travel plans and advised about things to do and bus times.

Staff were extremely helpful setting up excursions and transfers for us at prices better than we can get anywhere else. Kitchen was well stocked and clean. Room small but lovely. Place felt secure.

“cheap stay near the center, clean, nice balcony”

it's a nice "casa"/house near the center of Fortuna (5 min walk). You share the kitchen, living room, balcony with 4 more rooms (5 in total) and then your room is separate with its bathroom. The house is really clean and i was allowed to check-in a bit earlier than usual thanks to the lovely ladies taking care of the cleaning. Staff at the reception is also polite (note that they also run the hotel alicia next door and offer breakfast for 7$). good basis to explore the city and being picked up for tours etc. it was also quite cheap compared to others in the area.

10/10 for me, everything was great, but I'd probably suggest bringing earplugs (which I did have). There was some loudish-humming appliance that kept stopping and starting to hum through the night. Might wake you up a couple times if you're a light sleeper. Could just be a temporary thing too, I didn't really bother to ask.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, there are many services available (transfers, tours..) from the reception. The property was easy to find, and it's a short walk from the main street. There was a friendly cat, and a balcony with nice view over the neighbourhood - even saw macaws flying past a couple of times in the morning. Everything was clean and looked new.

Stayed here for 5 nights as a solo traveler. It’s clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and it’s a 5 minute walk from the center of town. Look no further!

Rooms are clean, warm water, cozy bedding, well equipped kitchen, nice balcony. Location is perfect: quiet out of the city hustle and just short walk into it.

Perfect location, great communication and support, when needed. Very nice and clean room! Air conditioning, hairdryer and even towels to remove make up. Perfect kitchen to cook breakfast/ dinner and they also have a nice balcony to sit at.

The location was perfect as it was very close to the main part of La Fortuna, but just off to the side in a quieter neighbourhood. There was a shop nearby and the hotel was easy to locate. The key and door system was very user friendly and I felt very secure whilst also knowing I could come and go at any time without any problems. The room was very comfortable and the kitchen area and balcony were super nice. The wifi was also good. Contact from the hotel before my arrival was also good. I loved that I could buy my own food and use the lovely kitchen area as this helped me to save money.

The property was new and spotless. I loved the sharing kitchen and balcony. The location was 5 minute walk from middle of everything. There is a supermarket 2 minutes away. The breakfast was made fresh and delicious. The girl at reception booked all my excursions without hesitation. I would definitely recommend this property. I felt really safe as a solo traveller. I will be back .

The breakfast was simple but satisfying. The location was very convenient only being a few blocks from the centre of town. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by. It is located on a quiet side street. We had to park out on the sidewalk, but there were no issues or security concerns in this neighborhood. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone.
