tried to get in touch twice with the staff because my bus was stuck in a traffic accident and my arrival was delayed to one hour after check-in. At my arrival at the hostel no one was present, only with the help of other guest i managed to get in touch with them to enter the dorm

Assistance of reception with messages was very helpful, they helped us with drying our clothes and that was very helpful.

“After countless stays in hostels over the world, I think I found one I can say is favorite.”

You can really feel this hostel is run by a backpacker who's really aware if everything that actually matters for one. Comfortable mattresses, extra bathroom on every floor beside the ones in the rooms. The price is one of the cheapest in the area, David really tries to set people in groups for whatever so we won't each take uber for ourselves, he's really into showing you whatever is around the city to do and will try to arrange anything that you might need. Free yoga classes in 18:00 everyday are worth mentioning . And also the effort to devide the people in the different rooms available to promise as much privacy as possible to each one. The kitchen is really big and equipped also and there's even a stone to sharpen the knives.

Outside of the main town by a 10 minute walk. Nice quiet location Good relaxing spaces, coumfy dorm bed. I was there in low season so had the dormitory to myself and really can't compain. Staff/volunteers were incredibly friendly and very helpful and I really enjoyed my stay

My experience was exceptional thanks to Jimena's attentiveness and friendliness. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and provided us with all the information we needed. Additionally, the room was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed the relaxing hot water in the shower. Nice place to cook. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

“Comfortable, relaxed with everything I needed”

Super comfortable beds in the dormitories, well stocked and regularly cleaned kitchen, lovely comfy place to hang out upstairs, and the staff are helpful and so friendly. The host Jimena is lovely! I stayed for a week and I had a wonderful time and the hostel played a big part of that.

We booked this place because we had an amazing deal on it. It seems good for a hostel and we liked that within the dorms, we had a "private room" with a door that close. So we still had some privacy and the dorm wasn't full either.

Nice, clean kitchen and communal area. Free (good) coffee every day. Dorms are clean and quiet. Staff let us switch to a room with a window when it was available. Some optional activities including a movie night. Helpful advice from staff

The dorm room was split with internal rooms, which meant we all had our own space (2x two-bed bunks in two separate rooms, and 4x 2-be bunks in the main room).

I booked a room for 4 and we get a dorm for 8 person, after our diner we came back and our beds was occupied because the girl from the reception thought we left so she just gave our beds... the hygien is really terrible, I never so a place dirty like this, even the linen wasnt clean. The second room where she moved us was very humid and it didn't smell good, our clothes have become damp after 1 night... (Cold shower)

“Perfect backpacker hostel in La Fortuna!!”

This new hostel is perfect, very clean and quality/price super. The staff are super kind and Derrick and his cousin are so nice and helpful for everything. The room are very spacious with Ac and private bathroom . The dorm are clean and it was divided in tree rooms with 2 beds in each so I felt to be like in a private room because was not full. The kitchen are very clean too and very well organised, with two spacious and clean fridge, and the storage where to put your foods too. I was impressed by the many home appliances available, from the rice cooker, blender, water boiler, coffee machine with coffee for everyone, and in addition you also have salt, tea and other basic things that you could use it. You could have a laundry wash and dry for 8 dollars, not cheap as everything in Costa Rica, but you also have a place and soap where you can wash and hanging your clothes. 10 minutes by walk from the centre in a quiet area with a good restaurant just beside ( a friend tried and he really enjoyed. The common area whit sofa is very nice . 10 minutes from there you have the free spot “il Salto”. I really recommend.

“A very comfortable place to stay in LA Fortuna”

Friendly and welcoming staffs and they provided different recommendations of where to go in La Fortuna, Free rope swing, hidden gem waterfall.....etc. The hostel is clean, comfy bed, with air-con and nice shared kitchen, but 2 refrigerators or 4 stoves but still not enough because all of travellers use the kitchen for dinner, and some kitchen utensils are not enough during peak period.
