“Scenic and quiet retreat”

A beautiful location on top of a crater lake, the huts were quiet and located near a small village which was nice to walk to. The host was a fantastic cook and made us a beautiful dinner and breakfast...you can walk down to the lake but it is not recommended to swim in it because of hippos! we wished we had booked more than one night here!

“Like home”

We loved the staff, the food, the view and of course the cat ! They were all so friendly and we felt at home. I would recommend this place to anyone that want to visit Uganda. Also super close to chimp treking.

Difficult to get to on the wet 2K track * no hot water despite requests, food just edible, 80 usd for double room, not again

Stunning little cottages on the edge of a crater lake. We were able to watch birds and monkeys frolic below us from the little porch on our cottage. There is also a track that runs down to the lake and around and back up to the ridge, which was a nice walk. The food was exceptional - Joseph is a wonderful cook, and he was whipping up scrumptious meals out of his little kitchen. The staff were great also at reminding us when we needed to get moving to make it to our chimp trek. They always had pots of tea at the ready and provided exceptional service.

“Nice place and views, good place for village walks”

We had cottage with gorgeous views to the lake and surrounding landscape and villages. Really nice place to rest after being in the safari for days. Cottage is small, basically in size of bed but we spent most of the time in the terrace anyway. Also we had a nice walk to see the lakes and the view from the viewpoints, also hiked through the villages with lots of banana tree gardens etc, meeting local friendly people.

The location by the lake was fantastic. Food was also good! Staff were friendly and helpful.

The views are absolutely amazing here. I slept in a spacious tent with views over the lake and the valley. They have good breakfast and a nice local menu for reasonable prices. You can walk down to the crater lake and take a swim if you want. Staff is friendly and super helpful!

Very friendly staff, the shower has hot water and there was power all the time. the view is just amazing. The cottages are simple but fine for a short stay.

Amazing location with beautiful views. Quite little huts with basic bathroom but it has got everything you need. Tasty food!

The place on the lake is amazing. We ve seen monkeys, beautiful birds and heard nothing but nature sounds. Amazing! The fresh watermelon juice was our favourite!

The area is nice, the staff is helpful, they gave a good price for our laundry, beautiful views. We stayed in the tent

The setting is spectacular and beyond expectation ( even though the entrance was a bit challenging due to weatherconditions ) The room is a bit small, but then again, who needs to be inside when outside the temperature is good and the viwu amazing. Staaf is very friendly and manager very helpfull. Close to chimp-tracking and the Bigodi nature/community-walk.
