Overview
Nestling in the bank of Cluny Hill, this small, family-run Victorian mansion offers award-winning food and overlooks the beautiful village of Forres, between Aberdeen and Inverness. Built in 1865 and extended in 1910, Cluny Bank is a listed building at Historic Scotland. Carefully maintained, it was a private home for many years and was only recently converted into a Bed and Breakfast. Today the hotel offers a unique blend of modern amenities and many of its fine original features. Cluny Bank offers a fine selection of 52 local whiskys in our bar - from Speyside, the Highlands, the Islands and Islay. Forres is located on the A96, within easy reach of both the Whisky and Castle trail. As the Forres Golf Course is just around the corner, Cluny Bank is also ideally situated for golfers.

Breakfast was perfectly cooked and delicious. The location of the hotel was perfect for us visiting friends close by. We enjoyed a drink by the fire in the cosy bar.

“Beautiful house and lovely hosts.”
Beautiful house. Delicious breakfasts and light meals available in the evenings. Common areas have fireplaces, comfortable furnishings and a bar service is offered. Anna and her team are lovely hosts. The area has lots of pleasant walking paths to explore and the village with shops, cafés and restaurants is only a few minutes walk away.

Fabulous breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff and proprietor. Room was very comfortable and I was able to adjust the heating to have it at the perfect temperature. Whilst it is a B&B, snacks are served in the evening, which is a bonus. I recommend the cheese and tomato toastie.

“An impressive Victorian mansion with rooms which need a renovation.”
Location is very nice and quiet, next to a forest. Building has a beautiful Victorian exterior. Breakfast served was quite good, especially delicious fresh croissants. B&B owner was very welcoming.

“Warm and cosy stay!”
Our short stay at Cluny Bank Hotel was wonderful, we got warm welcomed in a very charmous old house. The morning breakfast, served in another very cosy room of the house, was delicious. In this short stay we felt the sympathy and pleasure to welcome from the owner lady. Definitely I recommend. Thank for the stay!

Room was very comfortable , warm and clean.The breakfast was lovely and fresh, option for cooked as well as fruit, cereal , breads etc, vegan options available. Stunning building located in super peaceful location. Host lovely too! Will stay again.
