Very clean and tidy with great equipment and facilities

The house was superb, a real gem. The host was excellent, very friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The kids didn't want to leave they enjoyed it so much. We would definitely stay again.

Overall, the accommodation met expectations, but there were several areas in need of improvement. Firstly, the necessity to wait for the host both upon check-in and check-out inadvertently resulted in a considerable waste of time. Secondly, the cleanliness was subpar; certain areas within the room, especially the toilet and mattress, were not thoroughly cleaned. Thirdly, the host's request for us to clean the premises was unexpected, as typically, cleaning fees are included in the Booking.com charges, and no prior instructions regarding cleaning were communicated to me. To comply with the host's demands, we spent over an hour cleaning, which included stripping beds, washing dishes, mopping, sweeping, and disposing of trash, essentially undertaking nearly all cleaning tasks usually reserved for the host. Despite our efforts, the staff conducting the checkout inspection were unapproachably critical, leaving us with the impression that guests were expected to perform thorough cleaning. This suggests that the host might only perform minimal tidying up after guests' departure, likely explaining why some areas appeared unclean upon our arrival, possibly due to inadequate cleaning by previous guests. In conclusion, I believe the host should explicitly detail cleaning charges and ensure professional cleaning is conducted after guests depart. Other minor issues included a half-functional main door, an inaccessible garage requiring parking outside which is inconvenient for guests with a lot of luggage, and only one bathroom available upstairs for a listing that accommodates eight people, necessitating the use of the downstairs bathroom. Despite these issues, the accommodation was relatively cost-effective, barring the cleanliness concern.
