Overview
Immersed in a park and set right on the beach, Golfo del Sole features several pools, sport facilities, and bars and restaurants. It is just a 5-minute drive from Follonica, and 20 minutes from Piombino for ferries to Elba Island. Parking is free. Rooms, bungalows and some apartments are air conditioned and come with a TV, safe, and private bathroom. They are simply decorated and have wooden furniture. Each room has 1 parasol, a deck chair and 2 sun loungers for free at the beach. Most rooms and apartments also offer free WiFi. On site you will find a well equipped fitness centre, tennis and volleyball courts as well as a 5-a-side football pitch and minigolf. Water sports such as windsurfing, sailing and canoeing can be organised. Entertainment activities for children and adults are also available. Restaurant La Trattoria serves an extensive buffet at breakfast. For lunch and dinner, you can taste classic and reinterpreted Tuscan and international cuisine, along with fresh seafood dishes.

“The best accommodation in southern Tuscany!”
Absolutely everything! There's literally nothing to dislike! This was our second year at Golfo del Sole, and the next one we're going again- it's so great, our kids talk about it all year long. The staff is exceptionally great! Honestly, they are so nice and so polite, they make you feel like you're family and not just guests. The facilities are simple, but great. Everything is clean and well- maintained. Having a small supermarket on site is very convenient- you may buy almost anything from grocery to beach toys. There's a lot to do in the resort itself, but if you fancy travelling around southern Tuscany, the resort is near major routes to anywhere from Pisa to Pitigliano.

Everything! The apartments are well equipped for holidays, there's great access to the beach, and the location is very close to the main roads connecting Follonica with Grosseto, Siena, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean and carefully looked after. Little Coop on site is fabulous as it has all you may need - toiletries, beach stuff, fruit &veg, dairy, etc.

The staff is very kind and flexible, and the location is nice and relaxing. The sea is clean and there are if you will many activities like windsurfing, Kayaking, Kytesurf, and Riding bicycles. The food shop is enough arranged.

The beach is fantastic! Clean, calm sea, pre-reserved loungers for every unit, water sports…couldn’t fault it as a family-friendly beach. Pool was also great, kids spent hours on the slide. Apartments were clean, spacious and reasonably equipped. Facilities on site were great, couldn’t fault them, and no stupid rules like you get on other similar resorts. Finally, the 2 on-site restaurants were fabulous, particularly beachfront La Duna. Close enough to Follonica to cycle. Also an hourly tourist train from the middle of the resort to town was great to avoid using the car. Surrounding countryside was great for mountain biking and road biking.

Nice resort. Great location and friendly staff. Apartment didn't look like the one booked in the pictures however it was plain, clean and functional. The access to the beach was exceptional and so was the experience overall.
