We stayed one night during our 4days trip to Vranica mountains. We were fully satisfied, everything clean and well equiped, the owners very kind and we were even invited to watch the football game with them!

Hold on to your hats... we are a group of 8 bikers touring europe, croatia and bosnia... first of all this was the best value place we stayed at out of 17. the host are amazing and welcomed us like we are family. they could not do enough for us. we should have arrived about 8pm from Dubrovnic after visiting Mostar and Sarajavo. however it rained heavy for most of the day. we arrive at the mountain road in the dark (it was not a road but a track, and because of the rain it was mudy as hell. but we got on the pegs and went for it. a few tumbles and caked in mud nearly 2 hours later we arrive at the tom in the dark wih no light what so ever. we ate, drank some beer and turned in. OMG, the next morning all the hard work of getting up the 16k track was worth it. veiws and picture post card views .. just amazing. there is no electricity up the mountain.. its all solar power only.. but we managed to charge what we needed and do what we need, never even considered it was all solar the food was fabulos and plenty of it, great quality and authentic.. it was the best breakfast of the whole 18 day trip.. this place is a must visit.. whish we would have stayed for a few nights and explored the are in daylight and in the dry. if i visit Bosnai again i will defo be back... the only negative was are abiliuty to get back down the mountian in one peice lol.. but we did and all the guys have talked about is the accommodation up the mountain Prokoško jezero Zlatna koliba.. we thank you for your hospitality and for looking after us. we would have paid double knowing what we know now.. i have loads of picture but i can seem to upload at the min... so i will try again later

Everything was perfect. Amir and his family were so nice to us. We could have stayed for a whole week if we could. Beautiful view, wonderful food (best pita sa sirom ever) , beds very confortable.

Cozy and charming hut located in a magical place. Owners are kind and hospitable. The hut is spacious and the food offered is traditional and flavourful. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Arriving at Lake Prokoška is a return to nature and beautiful people. You can't buy the comfort offered by our wonderful hosts Amra and Amir. The location is magical in itself, the hosts and the Golden Hut are just the icing on the cake. I highly recommend these hosts and this location

The location is outstandingly stunning. The view of the lake, away from all the people, truly with nature and able to relax. The owners are very friendly, hospitable and take care very well of their guests. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!!

“Nice place with good food, but has a few unpleasant caveats to consider”

Good location in the middle of the village and with tasty food (breakfast included, lunch or dinner ordered and paid separately). The place has a shared terrace and a enclosed "restaurant" area. The woman preparing the meals was very kind and we really enjoyed her food and coffee.

We turned up at 7.30 pm after a very hard day on the bikes, and the welcome from Namir and Amra could not have been better. We had opted to pay for dinner and I had messaged in advance to say my friend was vegetarian and also if they could possibly get some beer and wine (as we would be unable to carry them). Of course, we would pay for this. We were a little deflated when we arrived due to a four hour off road climb on the bikes to get to the village but Namir showed us the apartment and offered us beer - perfect and just what we needed. We got showered and then got a knock to say dinner was ready. What a spread of gorgeous food of everything we needed (including fish for my friend) and wine. Namir and Amra sat and chatted to us at dinner, which was so very special, and we really felt like part of the family. The apartment was so comfortable, and breakfast was, yet again, a perfect spread of everything. Thank you, Namir and Amra, for making our stay so special. I would highly recommend this accommodation and look forward to coming back in the future.

Prokoško jezero is a wonderful place to vist and stay. In my experiwnce, Zlatna koliba is the best place you can stay there. The host provided us with a better apartment that was available for the same price. Even though you are high in the mountains, quite far from other civilisation, you have all the comfort you need at surprisingly high level - electricity, shower, hot water, heating. Breakfasts are absolutely fabolous. You can use the host´s kitchen to prepare your own food or the host´s family can prepare a meal for you.
